Hamas Claims Responsibility for West Bank Shooting Deaths

Tuesday’s incident took place in the West Bank city of Hebron.

The timing was conspicuous and apparently intentional regarding Tuesday’s news of the fatal shooting of four Israeli settlers in the West Bank by Hamas gunmen a day before Israeli-Palestinian talks were set to start in Washington.  —KA

The Christian Science Monitor:

The attack appeared to be an attempt to spark violence that could undermine the peace negotiations and was a stark reminder that the Islamist Hamas movement remains an important force in Palestinian politics, no matter how much either the Israelis or the Palestinian Authority’s Mahmoud Abbas wish they would go away.

Analysts say that after more than a year of US diplomacy and an improvement in security in the West Bank, the summit in Washington won’t be jeopardized by an isolated attack.

How to Kill Goyim and Influence People:

Israeli Rabbis Defend Book’s Shocking Religious Defense of Killing Non-Jews (with Video) A rabbinical guidebook for killing non-Jews has sparked an uproar in Israel and exposed the power a bunch of genocidal theocrats wield over the government.”

By Max Blumenthal

August 30, 2010

“When I went into the Jewish religious book emporium, Pomeranz, in central Jerusalem to inquire about the availability of a book called Torat Ha’Melech, or the King’s Torah, a commotion immediately ensued. “Are you sure you want it?” the owner, M. Pomeranz, asked me half-jokingly. “The Shabak [Israel’s internal security service] is going to want a word with you if you do.” As customers stopped browsing and began to stare in my direction, Pomeranz pointed to a security camera affixed to a wall. “See that?” he told me. “It goes straight to the Shabak!”

As soon as it was published late last year,Torat Ha’Melech sparked a national uproar. The controversy began when an Israeli tabloid panned the book’s contents as “230 pages on the laws concerning the killing of non-Jews, a kind of guidebook for anyone who ponders the question of if and when it is permissible to take the life of a non-Jew.” According to the book’s author, Rabbi Yitzhak Shapira, “Non-Jews are “uncompassionate by nature” and should be killed in order to “curb their evil inclinations.” “If we kill a gentile who has has violated one of the seven commandments… there is nothing wrong with the murder,” Shapira insisted. Citing Jewish law as his source (or at least a very selective interpretation of it) he declared: “There is justification for killing babies if it is clear that they will grow up to harm us, and in such a situation they may be harmed deliberately, and not only during combat with adults.

Mr. Nefesh is a Hasbara megaphony who is most likely on a payroll somewhere.
But to clarify my point to him/her and being from a Jewish family myself, any Jew can find refuge in Israel even if you are in the JDL, distributing ecstasy, involved in white slavery, arms distribution or engaged in the many Hebraic inspired Ponzi schemes, just look at America for historical relevance.
There is no reason for a ‘State of Israel’ had it not been for the Rothschilds perception of great energy resources or Palestine’s great strategic positioning, the ‘State of Israel’ would not have been created. Terrorism was and is the greatest method desired by the Zionists. For every act of ‘Arab Terrorism’ you will find the hand of Mossad or some other Israeli entity involved in funding, weapons acquisition etc., terrorism serves israel by making it have the appearence of the victim.
Nefesh your arguments are tired, worn out like the Jewish faith, like all religions which were created to manipulate mankind.
I pity you if you are true to your beliefs and what you write. It shows how low and hypocritical the Israeli apologists will sink to.

Look at this list of settler-initiated crimes against Palestinians in the last few
weeks
http://mondoweiss.net/2010/09/take-a-look-at-this-list-of-settler-
initiated-crimes-against-palestinians-in-the-last-few-weeks.html

Please don’t accuse me of advocating vigilante justice, because I don’t. But,
those settlers are illegally squatting on Palestinian land, and the list of those
responsible for what happened to them yesterday must include near the top the
Israeli leadership that lured them from around the world into living in cheap,
government subsidized housing with all kinds of welfare benefits so that Israel
can continue its illegal military presence in the West Bank.  Golda Meir said that
there couldn’t be peace until the Arabs learned to love their children more than
they hate Israelis… I posit that there won’t be peace until the Israelis learn to
love their children more than they love the continued theft of Palestinian land.

And all of this talk of “why, why, why did Hamas do this?” Take a look at this
list of settler initiated crimes against Palestinians from the last few weeks.  What
type of superhuman moral restraint do you expect Palestinians to continue?
How long must they be intimidated by these thugs before they strike back?
How long would Americans tolerate this sort of thuggish behavior before they
fought back?

These Palwstinian and Lebanese factions are so rife with Israeli moles that hardly anything can transpire without Israeli foreknowledge.

Let me ask this: If a Palestinian where to cross these same lines on the map…what would happen to them?

That would depend on whether he was wearing a homicide-bomber vest or carrying an AK, wouldn’t it? Or are you referring to the tens of thousands of West Bank Arabs who cross into Israel every day to work?

If it’s obvious he’s on a mission to slaughter - as these Hamas were when they gunned down the two Jewish couples in the car - well then I would expect the police and/or the border patrol to handle the situation. Wouldn’t you?

Otherwise, you can ask one of the thousands of Arabs who earn a living in Israel.

“The attack appeared to be an attempt to spark violence that could undermine the peace negotiations and was a stark reminder”…that settlers and their supporters (many of them in the government) will stop at nothing to do exactly that. Besides the obvious fact that settlers have no business being there in the first place, in clear violation of international law and in direct opposition to any peace agreement, the latest incident - when Ezzedeen Al Qassam Brigades members in the West Bank opened fire on a car driving east of the illegal Kiryat Arba settlement near Al Khalil (Hebron)  - was deliberately provoked as usual by zionist militants opposed to peace and justice. The Al Qassam Brigades operation came only hours after 10 armed settlers opened fire on three Palestinian teenagers who were tending their land in the Salfit district village of Deir Istiya, as confirmed by the Salfit mayor. Village Mayor Nathmi Salman said Yousef Muhammad Al-Qaysi, 17, Sharaf Dawoud Ubeid, 18, and Udayy Azzam Ubeid, 18, were all tending to their land at 7:40 a.m. on the northern side of the village when mounted settlers rode past and fired on them, fortunately missing them this time, but a frequent occurrence which puts occupied Palestinians in daily mortal danger. This, of course, is not mentioned in the TD blurb or the The Christian Science Monitor report from which it is taken – nor the rest of the mainstream press. AIPAC stooge Obama rushed to condemn the Al Qassam response – which is in keeping with the basic law of the Jews of an eye for an eye – calling it a “senseless slaughter”. To this day, Obama has never condemned Israel’s senseless mass slaughter in Gaza last year or the senseless suffocating blockade or the senseless daily attacks and indignities suffered by Palestinians. The ‘respected mass media’ - as Robt. Scheer refers to them - is likewise using the Al Qassam reprisal as an opportunity to lambaste Hamas, the democratically elected government of Palestine, and help scuttle any peace prospects so the Jewish State can get on with resuming its illegal settlement expansion, as already announced by senseless slaughterer Netanyahu. And so it goes…

Maybe I’m missing something, but I don’t see Hamas claiming “credit” for the murders. The stories and headlines - other than the questionable CSM - especially in European newspapers all said that Hamas praised the act but did not - repeat - not - take credit for it. Why did the story get twisted to fit the Israel Lobby preconceived idea of “evil” Hamas? The murders were horrific, cowardly, disgusting, and harmful to any and every true Palestinian cause.

Sadly, this attack is wonderful news for Israel.  If you follow the situation, I’m sure
you would understand that Israel is reveling in it.  Of course, the extremist settlers
are armed to teeth, living on stolen land that was violently taken and subject the
Palestinians to wanton murder, abuse and degradation on a daily basis with very
little coverage.

And even though, the “peace” talks, would yield nothing for the Palestinians and
were doomed to fail from the start because of Israel, this was monumentally
stupid for hamas.

Israel is a failed 19th century colonialist project with it’s identity collapsing.  If
you cared for it’s people you would speak out against it’s atrocious and anti-
human behavior before it becomes to a critical-mass of people pissed off.
Because you sure are not doing yourself or them any favors lying and covering

I suggest a grading scale for all Zio-shills.  Graded on a scale of 1-10 in the
categories of crazy, evil or stupid.  The CES scale.  With minimal information I
give you a C=10, E=2, S=0.

The Rabbinical conference discussing the rules to kill non-jews by I score much
higher in the evil category. Sara Palin would get a strong stupid with equal evil
and crazy scores.

Not guilty. The Israeli captain who emptied his rifle into a Palestinian schoolgirl

* Chris McGreal in Jerusalem

An Israeli army officer who fired the entire magazine of his automatic rifle into a 13-year-old Palestinian girl and then said he would have done the same even if she had been three years old was acquitted on all charges by a military court yesterday.

The soldier, who has only been identified as “Captain R”, was charged with relatively minor offences for the killing of Iman al-Hams who was shot 17 times as she ventured near an Israeli army post near Rafah refugee camp in Gaza a year ago.

The manner of Iman’s killing, and the revelation of a tape recording in which the captain is warned that she was just a child who was “scared to death”, made the shooting one of the most controversial since the Palestinian intifada erupted five years ago even though hundreds of other children have also died.

After the verdict, Iman’s father, Samir al-Hams, said the army never intended to hold the soldier accountable.

“They did not charge him with Iman’s murder, only with small offences, and now they say he is innocent of those even though he shot my daughter so many times,” he said. “This was the cold-blooded murder of a girl. The soldier murdered her once and the court has murdered her again. What is the message? They are telling their soldiers to kill Palestinian children.”

The military court cleared the soldier of illegal use of his weapon, conduct unbecoming an officer and perverting the course of justice by asking soldiers under his command to alter their accounts of the incident.

Capt R’s lawyers argued that the “confirmation of the kill” after a suspect is shot was a standard Israeli military practice to eliminate terrorist threats.

Following the verdict, Capt R burst into tears, turned to the public benches and said: “I told you I was innocent.”

The army’s official account said that Iman was shot for crossing into a security zone carrying her schoolbag which soldiers feared might contain a bomb. It is still not known why the girl ventured into the area but witnesses described her as at least 100 yards from the military post which was in any case well protected.

A recording of radio exchanges between Capt R and his troops obtained by Israeli television revealed that from the beginning soldiers identified Iman as a child.

In the recording, a soldier in a watchtower radioed a colleague in the army post’s operations room and describes Iman as “a little girl” who was “scared to death”. After soldiers first opened fire, she dropped her schoolbag which was then hit by several bullets establishing that it did not contain explosive. At that point she was no longer carrying the bag and, the tape revealed, was heading away from the army post when she was shot.

Although the military speculated that Iman might have been trying to “lure” the soldiers out of their base so they could be attacked by accomplices, Capt R made the decision to lead some of his troops into the open. Shortly afterwards he can be heard on the recording saying that he has shot the girl and, believing her dead, then “confirmed the kill”.

“I and another soldier ... are going in a little nearer, forward, to confirm the kill ... Receive a situation report. We fired and killed her ... I also confirmed the kill. Over,” he said.

Palestinian witnesses said they saw the captain shoot Iman twice in the head, walk away, turn back and fire a stream of bullets into her body.

On the tape, Capt R then “clarifies” to the soldiers under his command why he killed Iman: “This is commander. Anything that’s mobile, that moves in the [security] zone, even if it’s a three-year-old, needs to be killed.

nefesh,

The article mentions Israelis, you mention they were Jews.  Were they?  Were they killed for being Jewish? Israeli? or just the victims of crime.

Crime is everywhere, don’t make it out to be something it isn’t.

Your hasbara is typical, arrogant and hateful.

Yes, they were Jews. You can’t seem to pick up on that? The fact that Hamas immediately and happily took credit for it didn’t seem to clue you in on the victims’ identity and why they were targeted? LOL

If you looked at, say, jpost.com or ynetnews.com, you will see the fine Hebrew names of the victims, and you wouldn’t have to ask stupid questions a child could answer with minimal effort:

The victims were named as Yitzhak Ames, 47, and his wife Tali Ames, 45, Kochava Ben- Haim, 37, and Avishai Schindler, 24, all from Beit Hagai. The Ames couple had six children, including a oneand- a-half-year-old toddler.

Did you even read the Guardian-referenced article? Apparently not, since you would have seen this:

Hamas gunmen killed four Israeli settlers in their car outside the West Bank city of Hebron.

By the way, you should absorb the meaning of this before flapping your gums:

Hamas claimed full responsibility for the lethal shooting attack in south Mount Hebron Tuesday in which four Israelis were killed.

Abu Ubaida, spokesman for Izz al-Din al-Qassam said: “Qassam Brigades announces its full responsibility for the heroic operation in Hebron. Our men have returned safely to their bases.”

He further noted, “This attack is a chain in a series of attacks, some have been executed, and others will follow.”

Right, Patrick, just ordinary victims of run-of-the-mill crimes. Move along folks, no Arab terrorism here, just move along…..LOL

Let’s see Hamas’s murder of four Israeli settlers is an act of terrorism, but so was Israel’s murdering of 1400 Palestinians in the IDF’s “Cast Lead” war with Palestinians in Gaza.  As a matter of fact, as far as the Palestinians are concerned, from its inception the entire Zionist project has brought them nothing but terror.  The settlers (every Jewish Israeli) see it differently, of course, but so did Spanish, French, British, Dutch, Portuguese colonialists of days long gone by.  And make no mistake about it, Israel is about to be relegated to the dustbin of history, consequence of worldwide repudiation of this last vestige of old style colonialism. Evidence for this is everywhere now, as the Zionist state’s barbaric ways become more and more apparent.

Wrong.

There is no equivalence, since the Jews do not have a policy of targeting civilians for murder, unlike Hamas, of course, which predicates its existence on the elimination of the Jews.

Now you will cry and whine about the evils of the IDF - go ahead, we’re used to it. But we also know the difference between attacking civilians as a matter of policy (Hamas et. al.) and legitimate self-defense from those attacks, even if there are unintended civilian deaths on the other side (read: Hamas hiding amongst the civilian populace; after all, it is the Hamas that bears the responsibility of their chosen firing lines).

Well whaddaya know - Truthdig actually reported the murders. Good on them, except for calling the Jewish victims “settlers”. For that qualification (and less-than-subtle wink and nod) I am more disgusted than ever. Nothing justifies the genocidal killing spree we routinely see from Hamas, even if some Jewish civilians happen to live in disputed territory. Are you listening, Truthdig???

Here’s a quote from the article above:

Analysts say that after more than a year of US diplomacy and an improvement in security in the West Bank, the summit in Washington won’t be jeopardized by an isolated attack.

Isolated attack? After more than 1200 Jewish Israeli civilians have been slaughtered by Hamas in the past ten years, and after 5000 rockets from Gaza lobbed into Israeli towns with the intent of slaughtering thousands more?

The weasel-words never stop….......
