Eight of the 10 Baptist missionaries accused of kidnapping have been sent packing by a Haitian judge, who said he had not finished questioning the group’s leader and nanny. The judge said that parents of children taken by the missionaries made statements in their defense, The Associated Press reports.

AP via Yahoo:

Hours earlier, judge Bernard Saint-Vil told The Associated Press that eight of the 10 missionaries were free to leave without bail or other conditions after parents testified they voluntarily handed their children over to the missionaries.

What makes you think you know more than the judge who released them?  It is not that child trafficking is “okie-dokey.”  It is that the Baptists were accused of TAKING the children, when, in fact, the childrens’ parents admitted to have been willing to give them up.  Where is your scorn for the parents, who are as much if not more to blame?

In fact, I am wondering whether this development will lead even ONE of the ten or so people who posted on the original thread to admit they were wrong in their knee-jerk reaction that, simply because “religion” was involved, the Baptists were “guilty until proven innocent.”

Let’s just say I won’t hold my breath…

Peace.

There you go. Trafficking in children, Haitian children, is pretty much okie-dokie.
Especially when that trafficking is being worked by Baptismos. After all, don’t the
Baptismos sing that ditsy little song, “Jesus loves the little children?”
