Grand Jury Indicts Abdulmutallab

A graphic on a website used by militants shows the now-indicted Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab superimposed over an airliner, plus text criticizing the U.S.

Well, that was fast: A U.S. grand jury indicted Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, he of the explosive unmentionables on Northwest Flight 253, on six counts Wednesday. Charges against the 23-year-old Nigerian included attempted use of a weapon of mass destruction and attempted murder. Abdulmutallab will have the chance to enter a plea at his arraignment, which could happen as early as Friday, according to the BBC.  —KA

BBC:

The counts are:

• attempted use of a weapon of mass destruction

• attempted murder within the special aircraft jurisdiction of the US

• willful attempt to destroy and wreck an aircraft

• willfully placing a destructive device in or near an aircraft which was likely to endanger the safety of the aircraft

• two counts of possession of a firearm, ie the bomb, in furtherance of violent crime.

Holy crap, so now underwear is in the same class as thermal nuclear weapons!
(Pun intended)

Why all these charges for one crime?  Isn’t attempted murder WITHIN an
aircraft, exclusive from a charge of placing a destructive device NEAR an
aircraft?

I also wonder if there was some false flag aspect to this event.  I read an article
today that Yemen had recently run up a lot of debt, and there is some concern
for the stability of the government that took on this debt, and the powers that
be want to be sure the current government does not go out of business and so
default on the debt.  Who knows if there is anything to it, but it would not
surprise me if it was true.

scottpot - actually, I think the guy never had any intention of setting off his explosive device. First off he made a conscientious effort to red-flag himself before he even boarded the plane.  Didn’t work.  He couldn’t set the thing in the bathroom because there wouldn’t have been anybody available to stop him in time.

As it turned out, the reaction from the American government is the same whether the attack is carried out or not, and al Qaeda knows it and relies on it.  In fact, our reaction is as predictable as the sun coming up tomorrow.

As Anon. Ymous would opine.

Why keep giving socalled terrorists excuses for what they attempt to do by;
stopping killing “3 children a day” (as reported in Antiwar.com) in Aghanistan,,,
and others in Iraq, as well as othes in Pakistan, Somalia, Yemen and other
Arab/Asians countries?

We’d save a lot of lives all around. And maybe make more friends than enemies.

Little wonder, this info. has been totally suppressed in the MSM. Had this grand jury heard it, the indictment might have gotten hung up by its curiosity.

The so-called terrorist was put on the plane by an obvious handler “well-dressed 50-ish East Indian” - probably a RAW agent. Another 30-ish East Indian’s carry on was alerted on by a bomb- sniffing dog at Customs in Detroit.

The fact that none of this has been allowed into the MSM, tells you right away exactly what this is: a black-op/psy-op provocation, timed exactly to coincide with a planned build up in the Global War Of Terror.

There is a credible, rational eye witness to this, whose reports have been entirely buried by the MSM and who has been interviewed by the FBI in an obvious effort to muzzle and discredit him.

Like myself, you may bridle at Alex Jones’ style, but this ain’t in the least about me, nor any of us - if you don’t like Jones as a “messenger,” just think about what the well-heeled MSM messengers are doing with this - quashing it entirely, in total violation of their 4th Estate responsibilites. It’s pretty hard to discredit the interview linked below.

Who knows how this will play out. Expect extraordinary contortions to keep a lid on the evidence that will point to what it really is.

So, Robert Scheer, why isn’t this info. in any Truthdig reports? What about your 4th Estate responsibilites?

Why didn*t the crotch bomber ignite the bomb in the restroom?
Why did he risk failure by trying to detonate at his seat?
Why aren*t the 120 pound flight attendants
replaced by 200 pounders trained in law enforcement and anti-terrorism ?

2010 The Year Of Resistance

Actions You Can Be Involved In

“An eye for an eye would make the whole world blind.” - Mahatma Gandhi

By Cindy Sheehan

“January 05, 2009 “Information Clearing House”—Three events over the holidays have caused me great consternation and they proved to me that I am not so cynical and jaded that my government can’t still shock me.

Of course, the first event has to be the “Crotch Bomber.” The Crotch Bomber story poses more questions than answers and, of course, Muttalabad has already been tried, convicted and virtually executed by our media who have formulated an open and shut case against him without questioning any details except for “lax” security at airports and possible intelligence “failures.”Credible eye-witnesses have said from the beginning that Abdulmutallab was ushered through the system at Schilpol airport in Amsterdam (an airport I have flown through twice in the last month), by a “sharp dressed man”—but the problem is apparently that we have not been subjected to perverted full-body scans every time we fly. So what is the U.S. regime’s answer to this incident: give more military aid to the unstable regime of Yemen to fight “terrorism” in revenge for Abdulmutallabs’s failed attempt (which was apparent revenge for U.S. drones killing dozens of innocent Yemeni’s just days before) AND subject air travelers to either the full body scan, or full body search.

The next event that has me worried is the fact that eight CIA agents were just the victim of a suicide attacker in Knost Province, Afghanistan. The attacker was also an agent and one of the eight dead. What motivated this attack? Did he attack the CIA because it’s an agency that is the model of peace and democracy all over the world? No, despite what the toady media and Obama say—the CIA is a hated agency involved in assassinations and coups all over the world (giving us the map and blowback we see today) for decades and the CIA has also been drone-bombing the crap out of Pakistan.

A recent report stated that 700 civilians have been killed by those bombs, and only “five” suspected Al-Qaeda—if we can even believe that figure—the liars are the ones telling us this. So what’s the word about these killings coming from the Robber Class? The word is “revenge,” even though the assassinations were also revenge for something extra-legal and morally reprehensible that the CIA is doing.

The third incident is the U.S. military’s execution of eight school children in Kunar, Afghanistan. According to reports, the U.S. military flew in helicopters from Kabul to Kunar and entered a house, rousting out eight children (seven from the same family), handcuffing some, then dragging them out and summarily executing them. Have you heard of this “Haditha” or “My Lai” incident from your Robber Class “news” channels? I didn’t think so.

As far as I am concerned, each one of the people involved in this horrific incident must be punished to the fullest extent of the law: from the soldiers who flew the helicopters, to the shooters, to the one (McChrystal?) who authorized this atrocity!
