Gingrich’s Campaign Gets Up and Walks AwayPosted on Jun 9, 2011
In a bizarre political development, presidential hopeful Newt Gingrich has been abandoned by his entire executive staff, including his campaign manager, chief strategist, spokesman and the directors of his Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina campaigns. Gingrich got the news after returning from a cruise around Greece. He said he would relaunch his campaign and press on. Campaign spokesman—former campaign spokesman, that is—Rick Tyler told The Associated Press, “We had a different vision for victory.” At least some of his staff might have also had a different candidate in mind. Both the campaign manager and chief strategist were formerly employed by Texas Gov. Rick Perry, who is playing coy about running. But it wasn’t just Perry loyalists who left Newt in the lurch. Scott Rials, whom the AP describes as a longtime aide, had this to say about his departure: “I think the world of him, but at the end of the day we just could not see a clear path to win, and there was a question of commitment.” For all his faults, Gingrich, former speaker of the House, is a veteran political operative. It’s hard to imagine how he got himself into these dire straits. —PZS

I still don’t get this delusion that Gingrich is somehoe “brilliant”. The man is an ideological pedant who is nothing more than a 2-bit griffter who’s been successful in conning the cracker rubes down in Ga. Oh, and he really wowed them in congress, didn’t he? Look, being a big fish in any intellectually shallow republican pool is no hot licks! OK, so he’s “written” a lot of books, right? How many of you out there have actually tried to read one? He fancys himself an historian but relly does nothing more than convolute the facts to portray the south as a poor ol’ set-upon victim of northern aggression and that slavery was just their excuse to destroy antebellum nirvana out of jealousy and greed! A truly fitting legacy for this twit would be to be left out of any future history of America!

Why is Newt’s presidential bid crashing? It is obvious, knowing the man’s history. It all part of The Plan. It was a pseudo-campaign from the Git-Go. Follow the Money. Newt collected $$ millions over the last 2 years and was not passing enough of it around to keep the troops HAPPY! Folks in Atlanta who knew him even before he ran for Congress believe that Newt always had several agendas that he would put into play simultaneously. To them Newt’s public agenda was always secondary to the more hidden, personal ones. None of them thought he was serious about being nominated, let alone staying the course for a presidential campaign. We have a pool going betting what month and day Newt will find a reason to drop out. It would be something or someone he could blame as the cause. Newt never has, nor will he ever accept responsibility for his miss-steps, set backs or outright screw-ups. My date for Newt’s departure was August 31, 2011. I had been thinking about how he was going to drop out of race: family crisis, health, a new girl friend discovered? Now we know. Newt’s political base is Georgia. His official announcement was made in Georgia, even though he has lived in Virginia for years, and does not even have a residence in the state. Why? Follow the money. As reported in the Washington Post in January, “ Newt Gingrich, the former speaker of the House, raised the most money by far, with his political committee raising $13.7 million. But his organization is established under a different section of the tax code, compared to the federal political action committees, which allows him to accept unlimited contributions.”
When he drops out officially, leftover campaign funds will remain under his control. Since his key aides, campaign manager, fiscal officer, the Perdue Crew, etc., have defected, he’s home free to do with the funds as he likes, through his foundation, or PAC. Georgia is one of a very few states that have laws on the books that allow for minimal accountability as to how such left over funds. Governor Perdue’s political action committee raised $8 million during his last term of office, even though by law he could not run again. To date, no one knows what happened to it. With a $500,000 jewelry bill at Tiffany’s, Newt probably needs it. In addition, his current wife is thought to be a very, very sharp businessperson, so he has her to help launder the money, minimizing chances of being caught like John Edwards. Of course, Newt has screwed royally in the past, so maybe this time too. Too cynical? In this case, cynicism gets a bad rap. The Mediaocracy should be ashamed of itself for not speculating about this aspect of Newt’s campaign. It has commented on just about everything else about WHY Newt was running, given his history and the political baggage he is carrying.
What is next for The American Political Comedy Central? Revelations that Mitt is a closet Roman Catholic. Sarah had an affair with McCain, that is why she got on the ticket? Transparency, transparency, tis the 21st Century’s new approach for keeping worldwide leaders a little more accountable to the rest of us. I think WikiLeaks may have done all of us a great service. There’s no place to hide, so political survival, whether for demagogue or democrat, may well depend on, amazingly enough, their doing a good job on behalf of all the rest of us.

Newt Gingrich is a living, breathing crotch photo. His team exhibited a profound statement of extreme good taste by taking a walk. No problem for ol’ Nazi Newt—-I’m sure he’ll have no trouble in rounding up a new experienced crew of liars, thieves, and other conservative scumbags to do that job. The Republican Party is virtually overflowing with that sort of qualified individuals. Is there anyone left out there by this time who doesn’t know what a dangerous joke this clown is? Maybe he’ll try to make Palin his running mate. Put ‘em both together and you get a half-wit.

Lets see how this works, these folks are like celibacies, they run around and build up a big stash of money so they can have a need to use this cash and say they are thinking about campaigning and maybe they are running for president. Some like to shop at Tiffays or take a cruse to Greece or buy a bus and vacation around the nation with no real intentions of really running for president, so going through the motions and spending money, just to make it look like they are doing something? So Meanwhile the media follows them around like puppies waiting to suck on the front tit.
This whole damn picture is so skewed and bizarre. Supposedly Newt Gangrape .... signed the “no taxes, no how” ...for political support contract and then he ran down and the street and signed “the “lobbyists for the nation” screw the masses contract, do they get kickbacks for signing these contracts?
Over-retching has a new meaning!
The other day my cat was coughing up a hair ball,... and I could almost feel, just how my cat must feel during her hair ball experiences,.... because I feel exactly the same way, as if I am coughing up a hair ball… every-time I see Sarah Palin or a Newt or any other Republican kissing a corporations ass, kissing a baby or kissing a microphone!

A couple of thoughts:
1) He was cruising around Greece? Oh, was he there to make an assessment of how terrible “them there socialists” are? You can rest assured he wasn’t there to “admire” the culture or beauty of the place. His virulent “American Exceptionalism vomit is so thick around him that he can’t possibly have been “on vacation.”
Report this2) His staff were nothing but a bunch of fucking a-holes anyway. What kind of Machiavellian scum would ever be an employee of such a turd? I imagine they are happy to have made buckets of money and will now take their warped vision of the world to some other ass-hole Republican campaign.
3) Everyone in the world knows that Newt is a piece of shit except Newt himself….....

Newt is prolly guilty of acknowledging that which his careerist and still ambitious staff refuse to contemplate.
That the only purpose Tweedledum candidstes can usefully perform, is to pretend that 2012 is ‘race’, that Oblam’s Tweedledee’s can be beat - even though the corporate backers who fund these farces have made it plain, they have no intention of financing any Tweedledum any more than is absolutely necessary.
Without equality of spend no one stands a chance in the quadrennial banal exercise in agitprop that is an amerikan prez election.
Newt, who is nothing if not a greedhead, has been happy to play the game of pasteboard candidate. The object of the exercise is not to win election, that is plainly impossible unless something really untoward occurs and currently Oblam has shown to be great at repressing untoward, unusual or anything that isn’t more of the same.
So for Newt, the object is to raise as much money as the corporates will give, which is prolly not very much in this age of the skinflint, then spend as little of that as can be managed, leaving big mobs at the end to throw in the kick for more Greek cruises.
Report thisThis doesn’t suit ‘senior political advisors’ and their parasitic offsiders in the least. They have complicated kick back contracts with polling companies as well has expensive tastes and probably got talked into low salaries in the hope of getting their snouts deeper in the trough as the campaign progressed.
Newt on the other hand planned on carefully husbanding his resources to ensure he still had a seat at the table at the end of the primary. That will be a war of attrition as it always is when unincumbant Tweedles are running against a sitting prez.
Running outta dough is the primary cause of primary failure, remember. With a seat at the final hand where some fool has convinced hisself there is a chance for him to ‘beat the odds’, Newt will be able to push his sticky claws into the jackpot and grab a big chunk. Watch and learn.

Newt just released the following statement through his remaining staffer, his current wife:
‘This is a good thing, a very good thing. I don’t need no stinkin’ staff! Why should I be paying people who keep telling me I’m an a**hole, and I’m doing everything wrong? I have lots of folks who will tell me that for free. Think of the money I’m gonna save’.
As he finished this statement, his remaining staffer was heard to mutter, ‘What an a**hole!’.
