gerard:
That’s not what I said, or meant, and you know it. Why do you do that?
By the way, should the US Navy send up fighters to shoot down Libyan planes to prevent them from firing on their own people?

Certainly Rico is right that the CIA and Mossad “have no idea what democracy is” and if they are allowed to penetrate any changing situation and take over, the results will be equally despicable.
Report thisAs to the “people themselves”—they all probably have a pretty good idea from experience as to what democracy is not—which is better than nothing as a starting place. If they can just keep the neo-con world-killers off their back for six months, things might just chill out into something humane and intelligent. Here’s hoping.

New York Times headline: “Italy Suspends Non-Aggression Pact with Libya.”
Well, that’s all folks. “Berlusconi Siks Teen Hookers on Gaddafi, Armed with Pork Sausages.” The psycho transvestite won’t know what hit him.
Oh, and, by the way, characterizing the protesters as “pro-democracy” is a HUGE, endearingly naive, quaint, and so-sixties, stretch. Those people have no clue what “democracy” is. They are “anti-Gaddafi.” No more, no less. Once he’s gone, the place will be a free-for-all.
The CIA and Mossad will come in and set things up, like they always do, and within a year the oil will be flowing again and everything will be back to normal.
