Fundamentalists and Extremists Go to the Rescue in PakistanPosted on Aug 3, 2010
The Guardian reports that Islamist groups, including at least one illegal organization linked to the Mumbai terror attacks, are going to the aid of Pakistan’s flood victims while the government scrambles to cope with the disaster. The U.N. estimates that the floods now affect some 3 million people, with 1,500 killed so far.

Our foreign policies are most misguided, and achieve a goal exactly opposite to that which is claimed. Is this an accident, is this incompetence, or is this intentional?
During the reign of the Taliban in Afghanistan there was rising dissatisfaction with its tyrannical policies and restrictions among the people there. Today, after almost 9 years of war, many miss those days, many see the Taliban as a savior from the actions of the invaders who slaughter needlessly, inflict a corrupt and inept government upon them and practically assure that, no matter how long we remain there we will always be the enemy….
