Why does everyone act as if only “intelligence agencies” knew that Osama bin Laden was planning to hijack airliners?
On June 23 of 2001 the Airline Industry World News sent an email alertto 500,000 readers saying that Osama bin Laden was planning an attack on US
airlines in the next few weeks.
They even quoted an MBC interview with an Al Qaeda spokesman, with Osama bin Laden present to make sure he did not reveal to much, that took place on June 21, 2001 in which the spokesman threatened a “devastating blow against the US”.
If the Airline Industry World News knew then the
airlines knew and the FAA knew and everyone knew.
Also John Miller, in his book The Cell, descibes
talking to an Al Qaeda informant in April of 2001
who told him that Al Qaeda was training airplane HIJACKERS.
John Miller worked for ABC news at the time.
Also in June 2001 the guy who tried to bomb Los Angeles International Airport was on trial and he described the fact that Al Qaeda was training
airplane HIJACKERS.
This was widely known information for months yet the hijack threat was never publicly reported even though
an unamed “terrorist attack” was anticipated in the summer of 2001.

I had begun to despair about the state of the US educational system, but given the number Laz-E-Boy Material Physicists, Intelligence Analysts and Demolition Experts it has produced, I now conclude we are the best educated populate in the universe.  Compare that to what the egghead fakers over at NIST have to say:
