Oops: Fox News ran a clip of an earlier Sarah Palin rally in a story Wednesday about the former vice presidential candidate’s book tour.

For the second time in a couple of weeks, Fox News has run the wrong footage to go along with a story about a crowd gathering in support of a conservative cause, apparently mistakenly creating the impression that more people showed up than was the case. On Thursday, the network issued another apology, this time on its “Happening Now” show.  —KA

The Swamp via Gawker:

[On Wednesday], FOX News host Gregg Jarrett was talking about Republican Sarah Palin’s book tour and the crowd she is drawing at the start of it - no small turnout, with some 1,500 people lining up early this morning for a chance to get into this evening’s premier book-signing for Going Rogue in Grand Rapids.

“Sarah Palin continuing to draw huge crowds while she’s promoting her brand new book,’’ FOX’s Jarrett told his viewers. “Take a look at—these are some of the pictures just coming into us… The lines earlier had formed this morning.’’

Propaganda!  grin  Gotta love it!  However, the propaganda methods of Fox News is a bit weak by my standards.  Unfortunately, it has been effetive as there are some Americans who still buy into it.  I hope that most Americans recognize this for the propaganda it truly is.  I take comfort in the fact that this propaganda is unable to hold a candle to the propaganda the Nazis created regarding its effectiveness.  For now…

Much to Foe News’ chagrin some of their viewers don’t
jump on the hook every time it is cast into the water.
Some actually sniff it and find that the bait doesn’t
pass the smell test.  But Flocks News isn’t worried….
dummed down American minions still want to dine from
the toilet floor of newsdom like so many lobotomized
feed lot maggots.

Fair and balanced? FOX NEWS? Yeah, sure, if you’re a Republican. I don’t object to their overt political bias (this is still America, afterall), but I do object to their pathetic/neverending (and all-too-transparent at that) masquerade as an even-handed “news” organization.

FOX NEWS certainly isn’t fooling anybody, except for those who are only-too-willingly allowing themselves to be duped.

Fox news is the only republican media outlet out there. The idea that people do not want to be taxed by the government and have their money go unwillingly to people who don’t even try to find a job and simply depend on the government for their liveliehood. I don’t care who you are. You should at least respect the opinion against big government. Religious views aside, republicans have good ideas on economy. ‘Nuff Said.

Fox isn’t news its propaganda. It’s about pushing a agenda to benefit the right wing of the Republican Party. They use people like Hannity and Beck to demogogue anyone who doesn’t follow the right. They are even hostile to fellow moderate Republicans. They care only about tax cuts for the rich as if the government could run without taxes. They act as if they care for the military yet they refused to critizise George Bush for lying and starting a unnecessary war in Iraq and for the multiple deployments that have ruined our soldiers and their families. They care only about American imperealism. They cater to racists, white supremists and act as if these folks are the majority of mainstream America. They promote fear and hate in an attempt to keep the right wing in power and try to keep as much division in this country by constantly stroking the fears of immigration, guns, terrorism, abortion and God. The biggest promotion of hate and fear that they promote is the election of President Obama. They equate him to Hitler in rallies that were organized by Fox news and allow veiled threats on the life of the President through the folks they allow on their shows. They use false footage to keep the right wing nuts watching and believing that what they report is truth and the try to disassociate themselves from the hate and division they promote when they are caught or when Hannity or Beck crosses the line to the point that costs them advertizers.

Oh, I’m sure it was an accident. Faux News would never purposely try to mislead the public would they ? Since the air waves are “theoretically” overseen by the FCC…How about Faux getting fined when they are causght lying. There should be some kind of accountability, especially in an enviroment where there is a monoply on the sources of news in the major media networks, for misleading the public.
