Fourth Cain Accuser Goes Public

In this still taken from the AP’s video footage, Cain accuser Sharon Bialek, center, talks as her lawyer Gloria Allred and an unidentified man look on.

Let’s see Herman Cain get out of this one. On Monday, one Sharon Bialek came forward to put a public face on the group of women, now holding at four, who have accused the GOP presidential hopeful of sexual harassment. And you know Gloria Allred was there.

As Bialek told it at a news conference in New York, she sought Cain’s help in 1997 to get a job at the National Restaurant Association while he was head of the organization and consulted him at a bar near his D.C. office. That’s when Cain crossed the line, according to Bialek, but his camp is staying on message and flatly denying the charges.  —KA

Update: Video coverage of Monday’s news conference is posted below.

The Huffington Post:

Bialek said the alleged incident in question occurred down the street from the NRA headquarters. Describing what happened she said, “Instead of going into the offices, he suddenly reached over and put his hand on my leg, up my skirt, and towards my genitals.” She recalled that when she protested the advances, Cain said, “You want a job right?”

Bialek alleged that Cain also “grabbed [her] head and brought it towards his crotch.” She said that she was “shocked” by the behavior.

After losing her job, Bialek allegedly turned to Cain for help. Allred said on Monday, “Mr. Cain instead decided to try to provide her with his idea of a stimulus package.”

Guess who’s out of the running?  Here comes Romney vs Obama.  It’s hard to say
who will get the most votes by the disaffected voting pool on both sides. Either/or
is really an illusion when the outcome of either presidency would be about the
same.

Which might you prefer, the same or the same?

To Herman Cain and the rest of the Republicans it’s business as usual. Sorta like Arnold Swartzneggar when he ran for office with all of his previous sexual harassment complaints that nobody wanted to believe. That is until the maid fathered his child. I’m still wondering how consentual that was considering he was her boss. How about Senator Ensign who forced his campaign worker into an ongoing sexual relationship then tried to pay her off. These guys have no credibility especially since they believe a victim of rape and incest should be force to carry a pregnacy to term anyway

@heavyrunner   Yeah, that may be what happens between adults in the backwoods where you hail from. But one thing you’re right about. That wasn’t sexual harassment - it’s sexual assault, and it’s quite a bit more serious. God, one wonders if you even read the article. Maybe the words were too big for ya, huh?

That isn’t sexual harassment. They were not 12 years old. The guy made a pass at her, she said she wasn’t interested, he took her home. End of the story as far as I am concerned. He didn’t say, “If you bang me I will get you a job.” He didn’t say, “If you don’t bang me you won’t get work.” He let her know he was interested. She let him know she wasn’t interested.

That is what happens between adults.

If you don’t have a job, blame yourself.

The sexual harassment charges are really piling up
against Cain. It’s getting really hard to dismiss them.

POLL: Do you believe Sharon Bialek’s claim that Herman
Cain tried to get sexual favors in exchange for finding
her a new job?
