Fourth Banker Dies of Apparent Suicide in a Week
Posted on Feb 5, 2014
Russell Investments chief economist Mike Dueker’s apparent suicide death, discovered Thursday after the 50-year-old former St. Louis Federal Reserve officer had been reported missing from his home in Tacoma, Washington, became the fourth such loss in the financial community in the span of a week.
Russia Today made the connection earlier this week:
Dueker, who was reportedly having unspecified issues on the job, had worked for Russell Investments since 2008. Previously, he published several papers on monetary policy and was an assistant vice president at the St. Louis Fed.
