Israel and Lebanon clash
bbc.co.uk

On Tuesday, violence erupted at the border between Lebanon and Israel, leaving five people dead and marking the first significant clash between the neighboring nations since 2006. Both sides claimed that the other had provoked the incident, which prompted a concerned reaction from Washington and the European Union.  —KA

BBC:

The Lebanese army says Israeli soldiers crossed the border to uproot a tree which was blocking their view near the Lebanese village of Adaysseh.

A Lebanese army spokesman said troops had fired warning shots and Israel had responded with fire from artillery positions and helicopters.

The Lebanese army confirmed to the BBC that three of its soldiers had been killed and four wounded. The al-Akhbar newspaper confirmed that one of its journalists, Assaf Abu Rahhal, had also been killed.

In a statement, Lebanon’s Prime Minister Saad Hariri said Lebanese sovereignty had been violated.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in a statement: “Israel has responded and shall respond aggressively in the future to any attempt to disrupt the calm along the northern border or to harm residents of the north or the soldiers protecting them.”

Here we go Again,
the fence is not the Border, There is a blueline border half a mile from the fence. So let them pull out the tree in the buffer zone. no big deal!
Everyone has a quick trigger for Israel, so Israel has acquired also a quick trigger TOO,
useless killings, warning shots , Ya Right I give you warning shots!
This will just keep Israel on there toes, reflexes get sharper, preparation for the BIG ONE!
Pleasing Iran, is lebanone`s mission.
You asked for it, you got it! Everything is cookin, Hezbolla-Hamas getting ready for the next show down, which Israel will win again, 1948…1967.and recently Beat Hezbolla and Hamas Again,
media loss, virtual reality, is no loss at all, means nothing at all, only hot air including United Nations. No reality on the ground!
The difference is the Damage gets BIGGER.
You don`t attack Israel every few years at will without backlash, collective punishment, you voted them in you suffer their-hamas-hezbolla action.
This is all warm up, more Floatkilla planned to run the blockade, more rockets from Gaza, warm up time, get your seats early.
Here HOMELAND SECURITY is also getting ready, gearing up they say,
Airports are reorganizing, easy to sense the energy everywhere,
Immigration-so what,
Iran nukes more important, Israel already handed out gas masks to every citizen,
Will anyone diffuse this or we all just throw areselves on the grenade, Suicide bombing Western style!

A tree might be the cause of a war in the Levant? Yes, that makes sense.

The Israeli Banty Rooster, ever spoiling for a cock
fight, then cries “self-defense” when the bullying
leads to retaliation.  It is Israel’s “right” to
pattern themselves on the Nazis and the repeat the
collective punishment of the Warsaw Ghetto, to create
an ethnically pure Fourth Reich, to expel the
undermenchen, the “two-legged beasts”. There is no
crime for which America’s cop-on-the-beat will be
held liable.  It is their “right” to escape scrutiny,
or being held to the same standards other nations are
held (with the one notable exception: ours), let
alone the “crimes” we hold official enemies to.  But
the US runs the World-Wide Terror Network, and it is
we who (for now) get to decide (just as the Nazis got
to decide) who is subject to the Law and who is not,
who is human and who is not.
Israel and its Godfather share the same paranoia,
share the same need for despotic control found in the
dozens of third-world dictatorships we install and
support, the same agenda of exploitation, which must
be disguised by clever marketing but brutally
enforced when the “natives” resist slavery and
peonage.  And, just as Nazi Germany was always being
threatened by hostile outsiders and foreign
terrorists, was always “defending” herself from one
imagined “imminent attack” or “threat to good order”,
so the modern-day Israeli Anglo cry “self defense” as
they invade and expropriate, bomb and poison, starve
and blockade, engage in the very same behaviors for
which official enemies were HUNG not so very long
ago.
Bullies make certain, though, that whoever they pick
fights with will be unable to actually defend
themselves, either in word or in deed.  Real
negotiations would show us for what we are:
dishonest.  What’s the use of all of this power if we
can exploit people?  What fun is it to be the jailer
if you can’t torture the inmates?  And, as an extra
bonus, we have our Free Press to tell us how it
must’ve been their fault for living where our bombs
fell, for getting in the way of our soldiers’
bullets, how unreasonable and ungrateful they are
being for not wanting us killing them.  We need the
Free Press to ignore our own crimes and those of our
“friends and allies”, and to remind us how righteous
and wonderful and exceptional we are, how brave our
civilian-killing soldiers and mercenaries are, and
how damned lucky we are to live in the slave quarters
and how thankful we are to be able to sacrifice our
children and our meager earnings to the God of War.

It isn’t Israels tree to uproot.

This is the kind of proactive environmental terrorism Issies use to provoke the Lebanese police and militia, they let their untreated waste to flow to the Palestinians, provoking them.
