Just suppose American Airlines actually pays the fine… where does the money come from and to whom does it go?
Answer to the first part… the money comes from you and me… the travelling public. You don’t think American Airlines executives and stockholders are going to poney up that kind of money, do you? Nope… the money comes straight out of our pockets and straight into the FAA’s.
And what does the FAA do with it? Why… turn it over to the government, of course. What do we call this kind of transaction, class?
Right… TAXATION!
