Ex-Giant Lawrence Taylor Faces Rape Charge

Taylor, seen here on a golf course in 2007, was due to be arraigned Thursday afternoon, according to The New York Times.

Former New York Giants linebacker Lawrence Taylor was arrested Thursday morning and later in the day was facing charges of third-degree rape after a 15-year-old girl who allegedly met with Taylor in a Montebello, N.Y., hotel was treated for injuries at a hospital. —KA

The New York Times:

“She was a runaway since March and there was a pimp involved,” Mr. St. Lawrence told the Journal News. “She got punched in the face. We’re not sure who did it.”

The police have scheduled a news conference for 3 p.m. to discuss the case, and have said Mr. Taylor will be arraigned on third-degree rape charges this afternoon because the victim is a minor.

Terrifying how such an incredible athlete, one of the greatest ever, can totally destroy his life in every way imaginable. I saw him play college ball at North Carolina, and went to many Giants games and he has simply pissed it all away with almost total suicidal behavior.

people on her show “Issues” tonight to talk about what is next for him. Geez!!
