Everything’s Coming Up Romney

Although Ron Paul leads in some polls and Rick Santorum of all people has started to gain steam, CNN has Mitt Romney winning the Iowa caucuses. A win in Iowa could make Romney’s nomination appear inevitable, as he holds a 27 point lead over his nearest competitor in the New Hampshire primary.

CNN via Political Wire:

The race in New Hampshire, meanwhile, appears to have settled. Gingrich’s boomlet has subsided in the Granite State as well with his support there falling 10 points to 16% in the last month. But rather than splintering, almost all of those voters have swung to Romney, who maintains a commanding lead there with 44% backing, up nine points over the same time period. The rest of the field has remained static. Former Utah governor Jon Huntsman, who gained some traction in recent months, failed to catch fire, merely edging up one point to 9%. And even as Paul has moved to the front in Iowa, his New Hampshire support remains at 17%, second to Romney and now ahead of Gingrich, but still far off the lead.

The Iowa caucuses will take place this coming Tuesday, Jan. 3, while voters head to the polls in New Hampshire a week later on the 10th. Click here for the full primary schedule.  —PZS

Romney had to pay a few mill for that headline.

no matter what happens in Nov, the GOP will get their man in the white house, despite the 3 way fracturing that is going on Ronny Ray-guns party.

The big business repugs support Mitt, despite his “mormon” pedigree.

The libretarians of course, are circle jerking Ron Paul again, even though he stands no chance of being POTUS.

And then the wacko religious right, who now seem to be leaning towards the only man in america that Dan Quayle can call a moron, Rick “don’t google me” santorum.

Unless the repugs manage an open convention, and choose someone that appeals to big business and is a “born again” christian meathead, the OBomber will waltz to another 4 years. And the repug elite will then lean back in their smokefilled room and utter, “well, at least we got our second choice”.

The only losers in Nov will be anyone that isn’t rich already. All you reasonable liberals out there still think the system can be changed from within?

All part of the MSM’s plan to push their candidate regardless of what the true polls state.

@Blueokie,

True dat!, but we call all be so relieved neither acceptable candidate will have controversial two decade old “newsletters” even if their policies are racist to the core.  And the Israel Firsters and money for evil MIC War Mongers will be in harmony with our Orwellian media machine and will live happily ever after.

It looks like its all set.  Come next November we will have a President that: doesn’t believe the rule of law applies to political and financial elites, protects the profits and shields the felons of Wall Street, continues the practice of “trickle down”, “supply side”, “global free market”, economic policies that favor the oligarchs, supports secretive government and the unitary executive, severely prosecutes whistle blowers, is ambivalent towards civil rights, disastrous on the environment, gives himself the power to indefinitely detain or kill U.S. citizens on his decree, and plunges the country into endless and expanding wars the world over.  Or we’ll get Romney and whatever he does.
