Don’t Ask, Don’t Kvel: Lieberman to Lead on Gay SoldiersPosted on Feb 22, 2010
Somehow Joe Lieberman, who just finished demolishing health care reform, is leading the way on another big Democratic plank: The Connecticut senator will sponsor legislation to overturn the military’s “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy. Of course if the Democrats show any interest in his bill, he’s likely to threaten a filibuster. —PZS Sources: Political Ticker, Political Wire, Joe Lieberman Advertisement New and Improved CommentsWe are launching a major overhaul of our comments section. hello. the dysfunctional sex fairies issue is just a smokescreen for the pterodactyl military objective in the room. i am in favor of a strong defensive military: functioning at 20% of their current budget. the military objective, very close to fruition: to enable quick response to every area of the globe; and exert complete world bully domination- is a corporate agenda that most Americans completely disagree with. corporate negotiations are being supplanted by military badgering. that is unAmerican. if we were to exchange 4/5 of the military budget for: energy development, grid improvements, infrastructure long-term repairs; etc.; the corporate military industrial porkulous complex would shift, to alternative industrial complexes. that the military believes we need to be able to immediately respond anywhere in the world is maniac extremism, hawkish insecurities, and contrary to public consent. it is corporate greed with a big stick. corporations need to negotiate the right contract involving foreign interests, and hire their own security. the military budget is a disgrace.

I would like to have mandatory psychiatric evaluations done on Lieberman but I understand no proctologist will take the job. Seems he’s been too buddy/buddy with the GOP religious right. Although this would give him first hand experience on the subject.
