Leonardo DiCaprio is circling the lead role in Ridley Scott’s upcoming film “Body of Lies,” adapted from the novel by Washington Post scribe David Ignatius.  If he signs on to the project, DiCaprio will play a CIA agent working in Jordan to hunt down an al-Qaida operative, according to Variety.

Variety.com:

Scott already is scouting venues in Morocco for a film that will shoot in Washington, D.C., Europe and the Middle East.

DiCaprio will play an ex-journalist-turned CIA agent who’s sent to Amman to work with Jordan’s intelligence chief to track an Al Qaeda leader rumored to be planning attacks against America. [Screenwriter William] Monahan and Scott aligned to the project last year (Daily Variety, March 13, 2006), when Warner bought the novel, then titled “Penetration,” by Washington Post columnist Ignatius.

Truth Dig considers this news worthy of comment? I expect it on Fox, Cnn, etc, but not here.

If this movie will confirm and affirm the lies of evil Bush and gang, then it must be a welcome step towards educating and enlightening a larger segment of the non-readers, non-thinking Americans.

But if it is designed to propagate the lies of the political-military-industrial complex, then a great disservice will be rendered to the truth since a great number of non-thinking Americans will be confirmed in the bliss of their ignorance.

Of course Ignatius knows the score, so if his “fictional” opus fails to serve up Decaprio as a CIA operative who is either an unwitting cog, chasing a phantom or running what he believes is a “double” agent (à la Alli Mohammed); or more realistically, he is the mole, protecting and/or handling a black-ops patsy; we’ll see nothing less than a “limited hangout” that, no matter how disparaging of the major players, still serves to support the regime’s “the hate us for whatever, blow-back blanket excuse” for waging its lethally vicious, black-ops/psy-ops, global war of terror.

So, if that’s all they’re willing to do, bugger ‘em! Their little “fiction” can then take itÂ’s place along side all the so-called “non fiction” weÂ’ve been fed in the last year, starting with WoodwardÂ’s “State of Denial” through RitterÂ’s “Target Iran.” They all lambaste the regime, but draw the line at calling them out on their masterfully cynical skewering of global politics through wholesale deployment of tragically lethal false flag black-ops/psy-ops — willing to declare the them liars about everything “except” 911 while protecting their lecture-touring ass-et…pathetic!
