David Frum Blames Ariz. Shooting on Reefer Madness

Posted on Jan 12, 2011

Jared Loughner is accused of shooting 20 people in Tucson, Ariz.

The former Bush speechwriter who coined the term “axis of evil” claims a link between Jared Loughner, schizophrenia and pot smoking. Forget guns, “The Tucson shooting should remind us why we regulate marijuana.”

Much of our culture’s historic intolerance of marijuana grew out of racism and the quack science used to justify it. Frum acknowledges in his blog post that the “connection between marijuana and schizophrenia is both controversial and complicated.” But, he writes, “The raw association is strong.” That’s like saying “I can’t prove anything conclusively, but I’ve got a gut feeling.”

According to the National Institute on Drug Abuse, 42.6 percent of Americans have consumed marijuana by the time they graduate from high school. If Frum is correct, we’re going to have a lot more dangerous schizophrenics to deal with. Perhaps we should get on top of the situation by drastically increasing funding for mental health services and amending the Constitution to ban guns.

Whether pot makes you crazy, lazy or fat, you can’t shoot someone without a gun.  —PZS

David Frum / Frum Forum:

After horrific shootings, we hear calls for stricter regulation of guns. The Tucson shooting should remind us why we regulate marijuana.

Jared Lee Loughner, the man held as the Tucson shooter, has been described by those who know as a “pot smoking loner.”

He had two encounters with the law, one for possession of drug paraphanalia.

We are also learning that Loughner exhibited signs of severe mental illness, very likely schizophrenia.

tropicgirl,

Thanks for picking up the cudgel.  I didn’t know Loughner had a credit card.  Good point.

I checked around at a few radical view and investigative websites and no one is going near this story, despite the painfully obvious inconsistencies and variations.

I became suspicious when the Atty. General Macaroni (call me Mueller) was sent to oversee the investigation.

That’s never been done before.  I thought: here comes the coverup and what are they covering up?

CBS, NBC, and the beloved Aimee Goodman ran features with background color of this incident.  Aimee was the first and only to say that Giffords is Jewish.

NBC’s and 60 Minutes’s coverage of the timeline vary, not only in the emphasis of certain points, but also in the quality Jared’s walk-through of Pima CC.  NBC’s was darker.

The one shown on 60 Minutes was lighter, and the reflection of Jared in the glass door of the Book Store was not carrying a camera.

Aimee showed parts of it again today.  It was the lighter version without the reflection, just voice over.

Also, the other day, Aimee covered J. Eric Fuller as a color story.  Today, his eruption on ABC News was covered as stricly news reporting.

Might I add: One thing about the feel-good-media event-turned-fiasco on Sunday ABC’s was their chipping in to the ‘accepted news’ story.

But what caught my eye was of those characters interviewed in the audience, the creep with the orange hair who was obviously a plant.  He looked liked a 30-something-year old beefaloe who is infiltrating student body of Pima CC.  MAybe for this incident,  Who knows, at this point.

Note that Mr. Orange deflected judgement about looking strange in college nowadays, in obvious reference to orange hair.  It made hime sound young and ‘umble.  That Intelligence smooth sound.

What have they gained?

For one, after events like these people circle the wagons and revert to their reactionary adolescent upbringing.

Now Obama’s strangle-hold on Americans who are in desperate need of alleviating the cost of insurance even after health insurance reform are out there, dangling in the wind.  129 million with pre-existing conditions won’t be able to buy it till 2014.  That is 2011, 1012, and 2013 of profit, profit, profit.

These things never have a single-fold goal, though.  That might make it too easy to trace it back to the source, or connect the dots as it were.

Obama’s sell-out to the insurance Industry seems to be the most recent goal.  Americans are backing down from Republican thrust to repeal it.

Gun Control, the power of Right-wing media, turning Americans against Americans (the crazy 2nd Amendment supporters), and last but not least, save the asses of the members of congress.

This is my statement.

This is the ‘shadow govrenment’ rearing its ugly head.

Despite what has been said, these criminals don’t care about Republican, Democratic, nor Tea Parties.

What they care about is what you see happening in front of your very eyes.

That’s what they call clever.

The shadow government is like the Pod people.  You go to sleep one night and when you wake up, the person you thought you knew has been socially, ethically, economically and moraly lobotomized.

Please read my post once more.

The PsyOp that is being run against Conservative Populists IS THE ONE that is triggering dysfunctional responses among DESTABILIZED EXTREMISTS.  These extremists ARE a small group on the edge of The Populist Vanguard. They where considered insignificant by the planners of the Tea Party PsyOp.  The unexpected Risk of the Tea Party operation was always that it would Over Heat fringe elements, but this was considered a Low Risk.  This erroneous RISK ASSESSMENT is now a serious issue in the re-planning of the existing PsyOp.

There is no conspiracy.  What you are seeing is simple Blow Back, i.e. unintended consequences of the primary Psychological Operation that is designed to trigger a series of superheated reactions within the “Tea Party”, Conservative Populists within Republican ranks.

The NEW problem for Right Wing strategists is how to achieve the superheated effect that garnered so many gains in November ... WITHOUT GARNERING THE MURDERS.

This is a very serious concern among experts on the Right because if they lose the current Operational Narrative that has proven so effective, they know that they will lose much of the Triggering Power that was effective in the elections.

If this seems unclear: CHALLENGE ME.

I think garth is headed in the right direction regarding this being psy ops.

It has all the marks. And, someone should make a call to taxi services in Tucson to see whether they can accept credit cards, which we all know the young man had. Otherwise he could not purchase. And where did he get the cash IN the store? From a card, of course. Most taxi drivers can process cards. And wasn’t he mostly within walking distance?

And, I still have not heard where he learned to shoot so well. The video he made definitely sounds like someone was with him, like he was talking to someone, at someone’s direction almost.

And now to find out he disappeared for about a week recently?

Getting stranger and stranger.

I do not think so many people at the incident were expected to live, including the shooter. Let’s see if he makes it to prison and after. I do not think this is over in weirdness.

With facts being admitted daily, that psy ops is doing these things all around the world, it would not be so far fetched for them to grant themselves the privilege here.

It is now widely believed that Oklahoma City involved rogue government elements, with those perps disappearing for periods of time before the event, and other similarities. It seems somehow credible that those guys thought they were in a sting of some kind. So could some of the pantywaist, Christmas tree, shoe bommers, who all looked drugged. We know about the patsy they tried to induce, who turned the tables and started taping them… Who knows what could have been told to this insane young man to make him think he was doing right, or getting even, or who knows?

But it all smells bad. And backfired, to boot.

Inherit The Wind

OK, you say, “I don’t expect you to agree with me.  I do expect you to evaluate the validity of my facts and the quality of my logic.”

Take a look at what is going on several levels above your “logic”.  Here the real game is played, but you do not reference IT… at all. Are you aware of it?

What is at the pinnacle of American Political Communication?

At the pinnacle is Psychological Operations that trump logic in all cases where busy Americans only have time to “be exposed”. However exposer to PsyOps weaponry is as deadly to thought as is ignorance itself.  The weapons of Poly PsyOps were developed during the cold war, and were long-ago turned on the American people by the most sophisticated PsyOp professionals in the world. (British experts first developed rudimentary PsyOps in dividing and manipulating demographically differentiated populations during the development of their Empire, and they perfected basic techniques during WWII while training Americans)

Do a search on Frank Luntz’s company theworddoctors.com to get a quick look at the profile of a moderately TOP LEVEL player in this field.  Luntz is useful to Right Wing PsyOps users because his personality is videogenic.  Yet he IS NOT a fully top of the line supplier. Such consultants run in stealth mode but are not impossible to locate.  Luntz gives the FACE of American PsyOps a friendly veneer… it is ACCEPTABLE.

Note: The American Right Wing includes substantial numbers of PsyOp professionals because of its deep bond with the US military and Intelligence communities. Very substantial sums are spent training and experiencing PsyOp experts inside the DIA and CIA. These two agencies are the primary breeding ground for Domain Experts who operate a level or two above Luntz.  The American Left is far behind.

The REALITY is that these latest murders in Tuscon are simple blow back from PsyOps run by the American Right targeting Conservative Populists.  The destabilized murderer is as much a victim as are the corpses that he left behind.

Corporate Power is not particularly interested in the details of Right Wing PsyOps, as LONG AS THEY DO NOT INTERFERE WITH ITS PROFIT HARVEST IN THE UNITED STATES.

See typical DOD PsyOp (non-stealth) here:

http://www.usacapoc.army.mil/facts-psyop.html

PsyOps experts love logic because it is SITUATIONAL. Once they understand the rules of Logic Construct, they move in and take over the game.

ITW,

I am not kidding.

At times you protest about the statements made by the most nutsey of the far Left, and they get angry.

You hold this up as proof that you arent being manipulated by Truthdig. No. All it proves is that you arent the most nutsey of the Far Left.

Did you know that some of Limbaugh’s callers go to more extremes than he does? He gets to feel all intelligent and moderate when he holds them back. Some of the most nutsy far right call him names after he does that.

That feeling which Limbaugh gets, and that you get, after being attacked by the most nutsey, is not necessarily proof of his/your clear thinking and moderation.

In fact, that feeling acts as a block and a restriction on self criticism and self awareness.

Back to the simple matter at hand. If you want me to explain why the Frum article is here on Truthdig, I will. If you dont want to know then we leave things as they are.

You MUST be kidding! Just look at the denizens of TDers attacking me on the REPORTS area threat on Obama as Healer-in-Chief!  I’m sliced and diced up and down by almost everyone, including some right-wingers!

And, while usually accused of being a “rabid Zionist”, I piss off the REAL Zionists even more when they post here.

Hardly the mark of some whose brain was taken over by TD, wouldn’t you say?  You just don’t like what I have to say on THIS thread.  You, too, used to be open-minded. What about the OTHER 9 Year-old murdered by Right Wing discontent in Arizona

Christina Taylor Green was not the first 9 year-old recently murdered in Arizona.  The fact the you do not know this points directly to ongoing and sophisticated censorship by American Corporate Media.  The Managers of Corporate Media feel that they must “protect” the stability of the American polity; so they have erected their own Great Wall of China around your mind.

On 30 May 2009, Brisenia Flores, 9, and her father Raul, 29, of Arivaca, Arizona, were murdered by a Right Wing hit team of the splinter group, Minutemen American Defense.  Jury selection begins this week in the capital murder trial of the Minutemen, including a national director of the group.  Nine year old Brisenia, pleaded for her life, but was shot to death anyway.  Brisenia’s mother was able to fend off her attackers.

The SuperMike1661 Right Wing Murder List is about to be re-posted.  Version 1.2 will contain this profoundly disturbing hit.

To my Reader,

Given that the attempts at humor are not always viewed as funny or acceptable by everyone else, one needs to realize that humor is used to bypass or short circuit reason for the trusting listeners. The trusting listener is swept up to a thoughtless opinion which they will hold and act upon as if it was a logical conclusion.

With emphasis on trusting listener. When it comes to Rush Limbaugh you are not. When it comes to Truthdig you are.

Limbaugh appeals to prejudices that you dont buy into. You protest. Good for you. But Truthdig appeals to prejudices that you do buy into, and you dont seem to care.

Now in the big objective scheme of things, Truthdig is a backwater, a little pond. Limbaugh’s influence is much greater, he is an ocean. So in that objective mode it makes more sense to dwell on Limbaugh.

But in the little subjective scheme of things, ie, the kind of person that you are becoming, I propose that Limbaugh doesnt matter all. Truthdig is what matters to you, and if the kind of person that you are becoming matters to you, than Truthdig is what you would dwell upon.

Why is the Frum article here on Truthdig? What purpose does it serve and what effect do they want it to have on you?

If you think of what Limbaugh does whenever he presents a song parody starring the impressionist voicing of a prominent liberal, what is Limbaugh trying to teach the audience? For example, I heard Limbaugh play a song “The Earth on Fire” which was sung by ‘Al Gore’. (It was a take on “The Ring of Fire” by Johnny Cash) the song was supposedly Al Gore’s prophecy of fiery doom and all the money that could be made from it. It might have had real quotes in it, I dont remember.

Or an embarrassing mistake from a liberal which became a sound bite, that Limbaugh plays repeatedly.

Or the pretending he had Parkinson’s.

Its just a joke? entertaining humor? No. It has a place by intention, it has meaning, a purpose.

Now flip it and replace Limbaugh with Truthdig.

“Darned if I know” is not the optimum response to being manipulated, whether by big Limbaugh or by little Truthdig.

You used to give optimum responses, or try to(thats me, I still try). Years ago i liked you very much. Is there anything left of that person or has Truthdig completely sapped your mind?

Damned if I know why Frum’s cited here either.
If Limbaugh is “humor” somebody’s easily entertained.
This is a guy who called a 13 year old girl a dog.
Who pretended he had Parkinson’s (not knowing that it’s the MEDICINE that makes you flail, not the disease).
Who just said Loughner has the Democratic Party as his friend.
Being a wind-bag buffoon doesn’t make Limbaugh funny.

The story is getting shaky.

In one video Loughner is walking upstairs at Pima CC.  You can hear him huffing and puffing as if he were in lousy phsyical condition for a 22-year old.

He’s has an alleged exchange with an instructor who gave him a ‘B’.

But worst: time line.  I saw 2 different ones.  NBC gave a one last night and today, I found a one on local Tucson websites.

——————

Nov. 30,
Jared Loughner bought a Glock Model 19, 9mm handgun with extended magazine and one box of Winchester ammunition.

I PRICED THEM.  GLOCK 19s GO FOR $450.00.  AUTOMATIC ATTACHMENTS GO FOR $30 A PIECE.  HE WASN’T WORKING.  WHERE’D HE GET THE MONEY?

Jan. 7, 2011 at 11:35 p.m.
Loughner drops off film at Walgreens.

YADA YADA

Jan. 8, 2011 at 12:24 a.m..
Loughner makes a purchase at Circle K Store.

WHERE’S HE GETTING THE MONEY?

Jan 8, 2011 at 12:29 a.m.
Loughner checks into Motel 6.

THE MONEY?  AND DOES HE EAT?

Jan. 8, 2011 at 2:19 a.m.
Loughner returns to Walgreens gets the photographs buys something.

THE MONEY?

Loughner buys something at Chevron Store.

THE MONEY?

Jan. 8, 2011 at 4:12 a.m.
Loughner posts bulletin on Myspace called, “Goodbye friends.” He includes a photo from Walgreens.

HOW DO YOU PROVE OR DISPROVE LOUGHNER DID IT?

Jan. 8, 2011 at 6:12 a.m.
Loughner makes a purchase at Walmart Store.

THE MONEY?

Loughner makes a purchase at the Circle K Store.

THE MONEY?

Jan. 8, 2011 at 7:04 a.m.
Loughner tries to buy ammunition at the Walmart Store.

THE MONEY?  I THOUGHT HE HAD AMMO?

Jan. 8, 2010 at 7:27 a.m.
Loughner buys ammunition and a backpack-style diaper bag at the Walmart Super Center N. Cortaro Road, Marana.

THE MONEY?  I SUPPOSE THIS IS THE RED HERRING, BLACK PACK THAT ALL THE NEWS IS INTERESTED IN.

Jan. 8, 2011 at 7:30 a.m.
Arizona Game and Fish Department officer stops Loughner for running a red light. He warns Loughner verbally. Loughner had no outstanding warrants and his license was in order.

SOUNDS A LOT LIKE THE PLOY TO INVOLVE A COP FOR VERISIMILITUDE AND FOR THE “IF ONLY…” REACTION.

Jan. 8, 2011 from 7:31 a.m. to 9:40 a.m.
Loughner returns to his parents’ home and removes a black bag from the vehicle. His father confronts him. Loughner runs into the desert. His father chases him by vehicle but loses him.

FROM HIS HUFFING & PUFFING IN THE VIDEO, I DON’T THINK HE’D BE ABLE TO RUN FOR VERY LONG.

Jan. 8, 2011 at 9:41 a.m.
Cab driver picks Loughner up from a Circle K at 3712 W. Cortaro Farms Road and drives him to the Safeway store at 7100 N. Oracle Road, at the corner of Ina and Oracle, Tucson.

USUALLY YOU CAN’T HAIL A CAB.  IT’S TOO DANGEROUS.  CAB DRIVERS CARRY CASH.

Jan. 8, 2011 at 9:54 a.m.
Loughner and the cab driver walk into the Safeway to get change for the cab fare.

A CAB DRIVER DIDN’T HAVE CHANGE?  THAT’S WHY YOU CAN’T USUALLY HAIL A CAB.  THEY CARRY CASH FOR CHANGE.  BESIDES IN THE PHOTO OF THE CAB DRIVER, LOUGHNER WAS NOWHERE IN SIGHT.

THE CAB RIDE FROM THE VICINITY OF HIS PARENTS HOME TO THE SAFEWAY WOULD BE APPROXIMATELY 38 MINUTES.  I CHECKED IT OUT.

DID HE STILL HAVE MONEY TO PAY FOR A CAB RIDE?  AND DIDN’T THE CAB DRIVER THINK SOMETHING WAS ‘ODD’ GIVEN THE WAY LOUGHNER MUST HAVE LOOKED?

Jan. 8, 2011 at 10:10 a.m.
Loughner opens fire in the parking lot.  Nineteen people are wounded. Six are killed. Thirteen are injured.

I DON’T DOUBT THIS LAST PART.  BUT ONE QUESTION I HAVE IS: WHY DID SO MANY OF THE WOUNDED RECIEVE WOUNDS BELOW THE WAIST.  DID LOUGHNER START SHOOTING DOWN FOR SOME REASON?

Updated list of ongoing Right Wing murders.  Post this list far and wide.  Corporation Media does not want you to know.

This latest list contains the murders of February 2010: A software engineer furious with the Internal Revenue Service launched a suicide attack on the agency by crashing his small plane into an office building containing nearly 200 IRS employees, setting off a raging fire, killing two. The suicide note stated, “Violence is not only the answer, it is the only answer…”

Version 1.1 updated on 1/15/2011
Post this list far and wide.  Corporation Media does not want you to know. send updates to .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)

—July 2008: A gunman named Jim David Adkisson, agitated at how “liberals” are “destroying America,” walks into a Unitarian Church and opens fire, killing two churchgoers and wounding four others.

—October 2008: Two neo-Nazis are arrested in Tennessee in a plot to murder dozens of African-Americans, culminating in the assassination of President Obama.

—December 2008: A pair of “Patriot” movement radicals—the father-son team of Bruce and Joshua Turnidge, who wanted “to attack the political infrastructure”—threaten a bank in Woodburn, Oregon, with a bomb in the hopes of extorting money that would end their financial difficulties, for which they blamed the government. Instead, the bomb goes off and kills two police officers. The men eventually are convicted and sentenced to death for the crime.

—December 2008: In Belfast, Maine, police discover the makings of a nuclear “dirty bomb” in the basement of a white supremacist shot dead by his wife. The man, who was independently wealthy, reportedly was agitated about the election of President Obama and was crafting a plan to set off the bomb.

—February 2009: A Marine named Kody Brittingham is arrested and charged with plotting to assassinate President Obama. Brittingham also collected white-supremacist material.

—April 2009: A white supremacist named Richard Poplawski opens fire on three Pittsburgh police officers who come to his house on a domestic-violence call and kills all three, because he believed President Obama intended to take away the guns of white citizens like himself.
Poplawski is currently awaiting trial.

—April 2009: Another gunman in Okaloosa County, Florida, similarly fearful of Obama’s purported gun-grabbing plans, kills two deputies when they come to arrest him in a domestic-violence matter, then is killed himself in a shootout with police.

—May 2009: A “sovereign citizen” named Scott Roeder walks into a church in Wichita, Kansas, and assassinates abortion provider Dr. George Tiller.

—June 2009: A Holocaust denier and right-wing tax protester named James Von Brunn opens fire at the Holocaust Museum, killing a security guard.

—February 2010: A software engineer furious with the Internal Revenue Service launched a suicide attack on the agency by crashing his small plane into an office building containing nearly 200 IRS employees, setting off a raging fire, killing two.  The suicide note stated, “Violence is not only the answer, it is the only answer…”

When I saw this headline I figured it had to be a joke.  The right wing continues to assign blame anywhere and everywhere but not where it belongs. Here’s how I turn Frum’s logic inside out.  Just the other day Rush was saying that the incident couldn’t possibly have anything to do with all of the inflammatory rhetoric we’ve been hearing.  If there was a connection, he said, then we’d be seeing this type of thing happening every day.  Same thing with marijuana.  With all of the pot heads in America, David Frum, if there was a connection wouldn’t we be seeing this type of thing happening all the time?
Nice attempt to marginalize pot smokers as dangerous killers.  With today’s ‘news’ about ‘photos,’ how long before the right wing concludes that there must be a connection between wearing a red G string and mass murder?

I cannot help but be a little pleased that you find my posts entertaining, but I am not so pleased if the meaning behind the entertainment does not strike home.

While some of you are rightfully suspicious of my more entertaining posts(that there is some trap or meaning hidden there), i notice that you are not suspicious about Truthdig’s entertainments. Perhaps you ought to be. Their hidden meaning and hidden intent strikes home and you arent even aware of it.

For example… If Frum has nothing to contribute to the discussion, why did the editors here at Truthdig post his unimportant, uninformed opinion?

Why is the Frum opinion column, unread and unnoticed by 99% of conservatives, a Truthdig topic? Truthdig has only so much space to devote to the Tuscon shooting, and this little article takes up one of those valuable spaces. Lets reflect upon that.

Do you think this article is an endorsement of Frum’s opinion? Or an attempt to give equal time to conservative opinion on the Tuscon shooting?

Of course not.

Do you think Frum was placed on Truthdig as only meaningless humor?

No. Entertainment and Humor ‘wound from behind’. They reinforce the central message but do so indirectly. It is not meaningless or a waste of time, but extremely important, because Humor has an incredible advantage. An indirect message wrapped in Humor cannot be argued with as it slides past the gate of logic and sinks deeper than rational thought, where it inflames passion and reinforces thoughtless prejudice in the accepting soul.

Think of what Rush Limbaugh does. He is actually a talented mime and comic. Every hour is laced with parodies. His show is 75% humor. Yet it makes his listeners more politically serious. Ah, now you understand me very well.

But do you understand yourself? Could it be that you are on the same level as Rush Limbaugh listeners? Just as passionate and prejudiced, all fired up but of course directed by a different hand, and towards different ends. Surely you are educated and intelligent, but by going along without reflection you make yourself into a tool just the same.

Frum has nothing to contribute, yet here he is. The Straw Man, the Will’ o’the Wisp. Yet Another Red Herring placed by the editors of Truthdig before the hungry bloggers here. Why?

What ideology is Truthdig? How does the Pedagogy function? What response do they want(and they got what they wanted) from you?

Years on Truthdig taught me that it is impossible to answer a question for someone if they havent thought to ask it themselves. Such questions are bad form, they lack Socratic grace, and most of all since people are happy with their prejudices… they never work.

But for all that i am a little happy if anyone finds my posts entertaining. Godspeed till next time.

HOW TO DRIVE THE MASSES TO KILL… ACCIDENTALLY

What if there really WERE such things as highly sophisticated PR campaigns that go awry on occasion.  How do they start, and how do they end?

Such campaigns ALWAYS BEGIN with an analysis of the undefined FORCES IN THE MIND of the target population.  Via highly controlled focus group analyses, the Undefined becomes Defined.

A sophisticated PR operation, FOX NEWS CHANNEL is one, has a complete analysis of these Forces. It MIGHT be a controlled distribution, 542 page, spiral bound notebook AND NEVER A COMPUTER FILE!

Once the natural Forces in the Target’s mind are defined, for example, “my culture is being polluted by immigrants”, then a Narrative can be applied to that Pollution Force that operationalizes it… makes it USEFUL for POLITICAL OPERATIONS.

A Narrative line might be, “immigrants are destroying the Concept of Christmas”.

As I drive this Narrative over the years, I condition the anger that is ALREADY in the Target’s mind. I CONDITION it so that this anger can be CONNECTED to OTHER Forces that ARE NOT in the Target’s mind… “Obama” for instance.

Obama is an Immigrant… ergo, Obama is “destroying” Christmas.

In this way I take natural, free floating anger, and shape and direct it. If this were a real story, it now has a fatal flaw… at least it would be fatal to anyone but a real PR professional… like say Mr. Roger Ailes.

^^^^^^The little flaw in this technique is that occasionally a disturbed gunman who is ultra-sensitive WILL BE DRIVEN OVER THE TOP TO MURDER. This is understood and accepted by the PR professional… these are “acceptable losses” to him.^^^^^^

A complete analysis of the Anger Forces for the United States Right Wing will cost a few hundred thousand dollars, and needs to be updated Quarterly via subscription. A top-of-the-line expert on the American middle class, Frank Luntz for example, will charge a Million.

If such campaigns really existed they would be very valuable to people who needed to MOBILIZE already angry Americans.  Such campaigns would be the pride and joy of great media owners. These campaigns might be the real POWER that such owners manifest….. no chaos, no chance, just STATISTICALLY ANALYZED FOCUS GROUPS WITH plus or minus 5 percent accuracy.

keep on blogging… your grandchild will be asking you what you DID for her when she was in grade school…. before they made her carry her permanent GPS smart-phone for HER counter-terrorism safety.

LOL…smashing return to TD, ozark.

thanks for telling us frum’s opinion piece had us tied in knots…leading us to make vitriolic protestations when in fact, many of us were having a good ‘ol time mocking frum.

and thanks for saving us Leftist pothead swooners from further impotent apoplexy (you mean there’s such a thing as potent apoplexy?) by informing us that a Mother Jones piece had made it known that loughner gave up the devil weed at least a year earlier.  now, i was the fifth commenter to this post and referenced the same article and let TD’ers know that loughner had in fact given up weed. so many subsequent commenters were already aware of this.

well, you did say “David Frum really has…nothing important to say about the Tucson shooting.” we can’t argue with that.

For those of you who have matured to a full AntiCorp political position, you will know that what we are seeing now is a simple pause in the ever-accelerating process of power consolidation by the Funders of Corporatist force in the West.

For those with domain knowledge about standard PR processes, we can ask what is the present situation on the ground?

The Positional Propaganda Game has stabilized.  Glenn, Sarah and Rush are now pushed back on their heels, and they will temporarily moderate.

HOWEVER, The Right and its FUNDERS, from Saudi Princes to Goldman-GE, are now ADDICTED to the political gains that they made in the last cycle by Incitement to Murder.  Because The Right’s FUNDERS are experiencing an ever-shrinking Base (white people mostly), they MUST continue to aggressively incite those shrinking forces. THIS MEANS MORE MURDERS… A CONTINUATION OF THE SLAUGHTER THAT BEGAN VIA THEIR INCITEMENT IN 2008.  (Someone please post the Murder List.)

For the long run, the next 5 years, Progressive Elements in the West will have to tolerate these Wet Operations until we can reorganize our forces and push Corporatist Power into the political gutter.  This will be a race to the finish: Can they enslave us, re 1984, before we contain their enormous power to subjugate and murder?

If THEY WIN we can look forward to Centuries of dark repression re George Orwell… maybe Millennia.

We need to

1. URGENTLY restructure our ideology, including a bond with the AntiCorp forces of the Right.

2. Aggressively compensate for the Corporate Media’s expected FAILER-TO-REPORT the ongoing slaughter of Progressive People.  Keep publishing and building the Murder List.

On the least important matter at hand(the marijuana opinion piece by Frum) which has so many of you tied in knots, you dont know what else to do but make vitriolic protestations.

Now i couldnt care less about marijuana, or Frum for that matter, but I will save the Leftist pothead swooners here from further impotent apoplexy.

Apparently the Shooter in Tucson stopped using pot a year ago. Not only that, his friends say that since he stopped using he really went deeper into the deep end.  This info was available several days ago here:

http://motherjones.com/politics/2011/01/jared-lee-loughner-friend-voicemail-phone-message?page=2#

a quote from the above: After Loughner apparently gave up drugs and booze, “his theories got worse,” Tierney says. “After he quit, he was just off the wall.” And Loughner started to drift away from his group of friends about a year ago.

David Frum really has nothing to do with and nothing important to say about the Tuscon shooting. Lets put that little issue to rest, shall we?

One ought to focus is on the facts or at least the probabilities, and then pursue logical conclusions. Since it is rare to that perspective here on Truthdig you need me to get involved, even on the smallest least important matters.

from the previously cited article by Michelle Goldberg:

“The point, again, is not that Alex Jones, Zeitgeist or The Tea Party are responsible for Loughner’s crimes. The point is that he targeted Giffords for a reason, one rooted in his unhinged interpretation of recognizable conspiracy theories. Right-wing activists and politicians have traded on such theories, giving them far more mainstream exposure and credibility than they ever had before. Experts on political violence have been arguing for months that this is extremely dangerous. People like Loughner are the reason why.”

my previous statement and question from yesterday:
“Somebody here must have been listening to Sean Hannity earlier today and heard him say “The left is blaming the right for what happened in Tuscon.”

WHO is this “left” blaming the “right”? “

Perhaps Fat Freddy only read the first page of the above-cited article by Goldberg.

Again: WHO is this “left” that’s blaming the “right” for what happened in Tuscon?

So far I’ve seen no answers. A lot of “connect the dots” speculation, but no answers.

Notice that guys like Boehner and THOSE GOPers aren’t saying much other than the expected expressions or sympathy?  That’s the OTHER key indicator—the regular GOP knows EXACTLY what’s going on and is wisely staying out of it (always good tacticians).

Actually, if there is a connection to drug abuse it is from the pharmaceutical antidepressants he was on. Just like the Virginia Tech shooter and several other schziod killers who were also hooked on “legal” drugs. We give out deadly prescription drugs to our kids like Pez dispensers and then blame the one natural drug that has the least of all negative side effects.

SuperMike1661, plz add to your very abbreviated list
the cold-blooded murder of the homeless-type man in
Seattle last month, by a mentally-deranged policeman.
The video from the Police-Cruiser camera showed the
man to cross the street properly in the pedestrian
crossing, engaged in no offensive behavior.  The
policeman got out of the cruiser, walked swiftly to
the man shouting angrily at him.  He then fired three
rounds into the man.  Who died on the spot.

I wonder if the mentally-deranged policeman were
promoted instead of being charged with 1st degree
manslaughter, or murder?

Visit Seattle?  NO THANKS !  I don´t care to be
murdered for having a beard.

Of the numerous abnormalities associated with
GHWBushSr - NAZIism, is the abuse of cocaine, instead
of appropriate use of cannabis.  (See the “Chronicles
of Chip Tatum.”)  Cocaine use often leads to the
behaviors described in the article.
Cannabis – NEVER.
I wonder why the author of the article did not
mention cocaine?

This article seems to be trying to make the point that
marijuana should remain illegal but it makes a better
point for legalizing it. If it causes a certain number
of people to become schizophrenic then it would be
easier to deal with this problem if it was visible
which means legal. When you make marijuana illegal then
the people who use it will keep that a secret so you
would not be able to deal with the consequences until
it is too late.

I think the really bad thing is that david frum, being who is was,
a presidential speech writer and w’s writer at that, will most
probably get msm coverage. That way it deals a double blow to
how ‘bad’ pot is and the harmful effects it creates in people who
probably just walk into a room and inhale the residual smoke.
Then the msm can fertilize its gardens with how pot increases
the chances of cancer, diabetes, heart attacks, vascular disease,
MS, Alzheimer’s, tooth decay, low sexual drive, psychotics,
warts, baldness, and creates sarah plains and a host of other
awful diseases.

The reality of pot being pretty much benign compared to the
affect of alcohol, cigarette smoking, crystal meth, crack, heroin,
opium, politics and religion will never make into the
dumbstream’s fertilizer.

Somebody here must have been listening to Sean Hannity earlier today and heard him say “The left is blaming the right for what happened in Tuscon.”

WHO is this “left” blaming the “right”?

NAMES?

The ONLY statement I’ve heard so far that could ( with a good imagination ) be construed to contain such a message was the original statement from Sheriff Dupnick.
Sheriff Dupnick, with 52 years of law enforcement experience, 32 of those being the Pima County Sheriff, was right on the mark. ( Please go back and listen carefully to his original statement- I’m sure it’s on a YouTube page by now. )

The “right” in no way is responsible for the shooting.
The Palins, the Limbaughs, the Becks, the Hannitys, ARE responsible for using fear, divisiveness, misinformation, and outright lies to keep their listeners whipped into a frenzy in their endless quest for higher ratings and more advertising dollars. They’ve made it an art form.

That there exist virtually no “left” AM radio talk programs is no indication there is no “left”, but rather that those ( generally better-educated ) “leftist” thinkers wouldn’t waste their time listening to such crap, stoned or otherwise.

We’re laughing as the wagons are circled and an effort is made to coordinate the obfuscatory messages of denial.

Now we’re blaming it on pot-smoking? Far out, man.

Maybe if he can prove it, it might make up for one half of one of the frighteningly awkward speeches he wrote. I think there might be a connection to one of them and my depression actually.

Sometimes troubled people “self medicate” with drugs and alcohol. You don’t even need schooling to figure that out. The user would be more than happy to explain it to you themselves more or less, depending on what drugs they are using. Cocaine users for example would probably never shut up about it. Just because they are obnoxious and annoying blabber mouths doesn’t mean that it is not true.

This reminds me of how people used to think that acne was caused by Masterbation (pretty thick).

Nice jokes.  Tell them to the ever-growing list of destroyed families of my slaughtered Leftist compatriots that your gunmen continue to produce.  Do you think that this list is funny, smart guy? I will not post to you again.

—January 2009: A white supremacist named Keith Luke embarks on a killing rampage in Brockton, Mass., raping and wounding a black woman and killing her sister, then killing a homeless man before being captured by police as he is en route to a Jewish community center.

You need to discuss with yourself the baby killing and slaughter that your people continue to heap on mine.

Inherit The Wind said: All part of the multi-pronged counter-attack from the Far Right—planned and well-coordinated.  “Reefer”, “Blood Libel” “Loughler has a friend with the Democrats” etc, etc.

Our nation is in danger from these lying power-hungry fascisti.

Sometimes we really do a great job, and our “multi-pronged counter-attack” really comes together. But what the little conspiracy theorists like ITW dont bother to wonder about is how we organize our counter-attack so perfectly.

A counter-attack is a retaliation, a turning, a deflection whereby the enemy’s attack on ourselves is made to backfire upon them. So the attack on us conservatives(made by the Left, who immediately assigned blame to us for the shooting) was expertly turned aside in a coordinated, multipronged, highly successful operation. Its almost like we knew what the Leftists were going to say, but that isnt really possible is it?

The question is: how did we conservatives know that the Left would start an ignorant attack which has since failed them so miserably, making the entire Left looks like bitter ghouls who used the death of innocents to smear their political opponents? Thats what America sees in the Left today. Check the polls.

The only way we could organize and prepare and fund such a perfectly timed response is if we already know the stupid attack that Leftists would make on us… before they even open their Leftist mouths to do it.

So let me give the hapless Inspector Clouseau(ITW)a clue. Let me say it plainly. We have players on your side. Yes. Famous Leftist firebrands are actually in our pay. We tell them exactly what to say(the dumbest things! when we write their stuff we laugh uncontrollably) and then the rest of the Left follows them like a bunch of lemmings off a cliff.

I wont divulge who our players are but they are people who you Lefties trust. Some of them write for Daily KOS, some for Truthdig. Several are on MSNBC, etc etc.

Thats the only logical explanation.

Next time you hear another intensely stupid attack on conservatives, followed by well timed, witty conservative rejoinders which makes the the entire Left look unbelievably ignorant, you really should wonder what is going on behind the scenes.

It cant just be coincidence that our conservative counter-attack(like this one right now) is always just too good to be true. It must all be planned and coordinated. By whom I can not say.

Next time you hear a Leftist drone on and on about conservatives as ‘lying power-hungry fascisti’ etc etc, followed by a perfect conservative response(like this), what you must ask yourself is whether that Leftist person is merely an ignorant moron… or are they just pretending to be?

Ahhh!  I remember it well.  Living in a rooming houuse above Jewish furniture store in LA in the late 60s and feeling fearful and paranoid.

After I watched an episode of Dragnet with Jack Webb on my 12-inch B&W tv and smoked reefer till my mind was gone, I headed out to City Hall with my revolver.  I was going to leave my name in the history books.

And then I passed a ‘Famous Amos’ and got the ‘munchies’.  Time is frame is not important to a person with Reefer Madness.

I continued on my way with my original intent until I met an old hispanic woman tending her garden.  I stopped and noticed a rose in her garden.  And I realized that all the world can be seen in a rose.  And I laughed.  Not a hideous laugh, mind you, but a gentle laugh of acceptance.
I stopped and turned my life around and became a famous, wealthy person.

From Budweiser to your heart,

Alcohol doesn’t make you crazy. Noooooooo.

Crazy politicians don’t make you crazy.  No way.  I love my Congressman.  He lives in a world all his own, and now he can be further isolated and armed. And that is as it should be.

We need icons like Paul Kanjorski, Trent What’s-his face of AZ.  And a Senator like Rand Paul, who is barely aware of the issues confronting Kentuckians, and Scott the flip-flopper from MA who is barely aware of the technique involved in tying one’s shoes.

We all need all these pols this Government.  And we need Frum, from Canada, to remind us how stupid we actually are.

God bless suspended adolescent.  Keep it reactionary rather than growing.

But, the bill will come due.  It always does sooner or later.

BTW
How’s your liver, TAOWalker, you drunken schmuck from native America?

I heard the indigenous of the America have had difficulties sailing through the shoals of ethanol.

Does cirrhosis of the liver sound like something you might be referring to?

illustrates the amount of money still available from

they break into your castle and rob your big screen,

cannabis leads to all this and more. it causes

It is really amazing to me the media joke that is going on here…

NPR pronounces people dead when they are not. Why? They went to the feds for their information, or somewhere else, other than the local media, the neighborhood, and the local police. What parades around as media is truly amazing. Although the local police seem to be a little uncooperative here, and that should send up some red flags, also.

There is a lot of information coming out that is not getting on the controlled media. I wonder why.

I wonder about why the surveillance film is not released. I am concerned about the autopsies, whether all the bullets came from the same gun. I wonder where this guy learned to use a gun. I haven’t seen anything on that yet. I wonder about all the previous arrests with no convictions. I wonder about psychiatric drugs he may have been on presently, or in the past, and who might ever have prescribed for him or why?

A good investigation is the only way to know the truth. All I see is the local police grandstanding. I hope someone, somewhere, is doing an actual, honest investigation, that will be released to the public.

And, if in any way, this kid could have been a patsy, a good investigation is the only way to prevent that kind of stuff. It has been the weak link every time.

There is also information coming out that he was obsessed with the woman he shot, like many psychotic killers that can be named.

From what I have heard is that the neighborhood is talking quite a bit about this killer. Apparently some say he was using salvia, the same stuff that Hannah Montana was using. It can be very mild but increases in severity with increased use or amount. Very strong hallucinogen. So was the devil worship that he apparently engaged in, some say.

TUCSON MASSACRE

Did Giffords subscribe to assassin’s YouTube?

Bizarre connection: Online pages indicate some type of relationship

January 09, 2011

By Jerome R. Corsi
© 2011 WorldNetDaily

“NEW YORK – In a bizarre turn of events, the YouTube website of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords suggests she subscribed to the YouTube channel of her suspected attempted assassin, Jarred Loughner, at some point before the shooting incident.

Given YouTube rules, for Giffords to subscribe to Loughner’s YouTube channel would have required an affirmative action taken by Giffords or by someone with access to her YouTube username and password to establish the subscription link.

Loughner’s YouTube subscription channel under the username “Classitup10” was created on Oct. 25, 2010, and his last two videos were posted to the channel on Dec. 15, 2010, approximately three weeks before the shooting.

While it is now known that Loughner worked for Gifford’s election campaign in 2007, that Gifford subscribed to Loughner’s website since Oct. 25, 2010, suggests the two may have been in contact more recently.

Oddly, the only other YouTube channel Giffords subscribed to was that of former Rep. Ike Skelton, D-Mo., who lost his seat in November to Republican challenger Vicky Hartzler.”

HAHAHAHA ... David Frum is so full-of-shit he smells all the way up here. And I’m in Northern Canada.

Cannabis is known to cure 95% of ailments out there. Let me repeat that 95%. It has 471 agents that match our immune system perfectly. It enhances our immune system 10 to 100 fold. Another words it’s THE all around wonder medicine used for 1,000’s of years by most cultures.

From experience of over 30 yrs I can safely say it has cured my cancers, eczema, tumors, psoriasis, migraine headaches, addictions of smoking and alcoholism, arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, mold infection and many others. Without it I’d be dead. Old fart friends who took or take cannabis become rejuvenated of most of their problems. Ones that don’t are dropping like flies.

Watch ‘Running for the Cure’ and latest documentary ‘What if Cannabis Cured Cancer’ for proof as well as read 1,000’s of studies done worldwide on the benefits of Cannabis.

Reason David DUMB Frum is promoting “reefer madness” is due to 800 Billion Pharma drug industry not wanting to go out of business, forcing gun control on everyone and taking away more of our rights. What a SHILL.

Just from the evidence presented on this website it is obvious Jared Loughner has a multiple personality disorder which is led on by MKUltra / CIA type programming. Similar to what Scientology does to unsuspecting weak minded public.

The thing is the public is waking up to shill media, industry and government LIES just as it did with Scientology. And that, boys and girls, is scaring the crap out of them.

I don’t know where you got your information, but it’s wrong.  There is no professional diagnosis that I’m aware of, that has been made on the shooter.  Secondly, as another poster has pointed out, a republican or a democrat is just as likely to be violent as a mentally ill person.  Not all paranoids are dangerous.  Thirdly, there is evidence that substance abuse can make one’s mental condition worsen, but there is no evidence of causation.

Like any paid propagandist of The Right today, Frum writes to distract.  No. The real story is that The Right HUNTS the Left… and that is the difference between the two sides that is NEVER discussed.

Frum and others on the Right continue to desperately miss on purpose the overarching dynamic when these Right Wing murderers slaughter Left Wing people. Right Wing Propagandists assert that the vitriol on the left is as BAD as the vitriol on the Right. This is so false as to be nearly self-evident. As follows:

When Rush, Glenn and Sarah aim their murderous words at their Wet Teams, the words are aimed at robots who have GUNS.  The words are ALSO aimed at robots who have the INTENT to use these guns.  If a Left Wing speaker uses the precise same words, which they NEVER do, the words DO NOT FALL on the ears of Gun Toting, Gun Using, future murderers.

NO! This is the DEFINING VIOLENT difference between the Right and the Left:  The Left is HUNTED by the Right. THEY WANT US AFRAID AND HUNKERED DOWN or DEAD.  As in Tucson they WANT us to have only a chair to defend ourselves against the death spewing power of a 9mm Glock… LONG CLIP.

Now we have a situation developing in the United States where Right Wing Propagandists will not confess that they target and excite an Angry, Armed and Dangerous horde.  So now they have finally crossed the line. They speak to a dangerous horde, and they refuse to confess to the MURDER of a Baby and a Judge and others over the last few years; so NOW they can expect the Left to come back ARMED and READY.  They are very close now to achieving their goal of a FULLY ARMED ELECTORATE.  The Blood Storm will scour the land.

Beware of Right Wing radio and TV propagandists, and the often paid Blogger. They should NEVER draw an equivalence between the Hunter and The Hunted… but they do.

SuperMike1661 says, “There may be 60 months left to replace the entire American Political elite before it completes its sale of America to its funders on Wall Street, K Street and the Saudi Peninsula”.

All users, and professionals who have dealt with users, are aware that marijuana, or cannabis sativa has an effect quite opposite to that mentioned in this article.

The indigenous to the continents that are now call North and South America, and the land in-between, smoked the “peace-pipe.”  Marijuana was the herb that was smoked.  It induces relaxation and a temporary “peaceful” even happy state.

Marijuana is suppressed because it induces calm, and contributes to healing at various levels in the body. It counteracts numerous illnesses effectively, and without harmful side-effects. Long-term usage can lead to total dissipation of certain illnesses. Due to its healing properties, with no unfavorable side-effects, it has been and continues to be very actively suppressed by the pharma industry.

Users of marijuana were initially scapegoated, by certain MDs, as a function of the suppression by the pharma industry. It gradually developed into a source of arrest-statistics for the “police industry,” which it remains, in less-well educated locales.  Scape-goating of marijuana users was adopted into the U.S. Military, serving to distract from alcoholism that plagued the U.S. Army in the 1970s.  The honesty of drug-rehab professionals refocussed attention onto alcoholism, the real problem.  While the broad-spectrum, destructive record of alcoholism is abundant, no similar record for cannabis users exists.

Any information suggesting that cannabis use is harmful, or leads to violent actions, is as fictitious as U.S. Gov. research on cancer.  Having functioned at the management level in drug rehabilitation for over fifteen years, I can make these statements without prejudice.

Only in America would reefer use be blamed for violence. Anyone saying that
people who are intoxicated on Mary Jane are ergo prone to violent behavior
should be consigned to the ultra-right Christian Trinity Broadcasting Network
(TBN), or the 700 Club with Pat Robertson.

Gimme a fucking break, everyone wants to blame anything other than the actual
cause of the violence. Think about it, if you believe as I do that we are largely
products of our environment/culture, why not then lay the blame on our own
society? That is, society represented as the summation of us all, boiled down to
our largest elements.

What does America spend more money on than anything else, combined, what
do we spend more time and money on than anything else, than everyone else
on earth?

War.

We spend more money on war, that is, war as collective mass murder, than we
do on everything else combined, and people have still the naivete to run about
blaming our adversarial political rhetoric, reefer madness, gun laws, etc, as a
whole, more tax dollars, that is money representing human effort and potential,
thrown into or invested in the creation and utilization of violence, than invested
into any other collective cause. like education, science, healthcare, foreign aid
to refugees.
We all seem to be ok with what our efforts have gone into, not realizing that
our violent culture has a love affair going on with thuggery and violence. Go
blame Hollywood, reefer madness, gun laws, and cheap political slang, and you
are still missing the point that what we as a society allow and invest in as a
whole, can be summed up in one word; war.

Everything we end up doing here is taxed, we allow ourselves to be robbed of
the funds that can save us, while telling ourselves that it will all be ok, because
we have control over who decides who “robs” us, but this is not the truth.

Whatever a society throws a majority of its efforts into, cannot be said to have
no influence on how our society acts. Our society is at peace with obtaining
what it desires from the use of violence, political power from the barrel of a
gun, ergo, our citizens, and those with a less than effectual ability at navigating
everyday life ( the mentally disadvantaged ) are at a loss to do else but imitate
what our society as a whole works it damnedest to do: obtain desired outcomes
through violently effective acts.

Obama knows this, his use of power is no more morally defensible than is
Loughner’s, and neither of the two should be excused. They each possess the
blood of innocents.

Yet again, DAVID DUMB, earning his “I-think-I’m-smarter-than-you merit badge from the Young Republican Indoctrination Club.

May I ask an honest and sincere question: How is it that the likes of David Dumb are given so much attention in the Media? Let me just say that I have always found Dumb to be nothing more than a spoiled, privileged brat…the kind of guy we used to beat up in gym class because he was such a smug, arrogant jerk-off. He’s cut out of the same cloth as most of the “fellows” (read that as intellectual-jerk-offs) like Tony Blankley who work for “think tanks” and believe their Ivy League diplomas and wealthy backgrounds entitle them to lecture the rest of us peons.

To stay on topic (more or less) I’d like to say that just today I heard and interview with a Washington State Representative who is trying to figure out how to test drivers for being under the influence of pot (THC). The ironic thing is that because pot has been illegal for so long, the last time anyone bothered to “study” it’s potency relative to driving performance was back in 1980. So, speaking strictly from a scientific standpoint, Mr. DUMB is talking out of his puckered-little asshole.

And the stigma and prohibition of Cannabis is exactly what drives its users inside their homes and heads instead of to coffee shops with cannabis and social interaction.  The social isolation as a result of the use of the drug is the aspect which catalyzes the development of schizophrenic symptoms.  We’re Cannabis not regulated, the social strata would be more conducive to preventing the development of disorders in which the individual looses contact with reality.

Jared Loughner is a paranoid schizophrenic, the most psychotic of all mental diseases.  All paranoid schizoids are dangerous at sometime in their illness and is not cause by outside influences, but rather a chemical imbalance genetic in it’s origin.  However, an outside influence can trigger a violent episode which is going to happen at some point in a paranoid schizoid’s life.  They must be on psychotropic drugs throughout their life and can rarely lead normal lives.  In the best of worlds they would be instituted for safety all around.  Fortunately, paranoid schizophrenia is a rare disease.

What absurd logic….but coming from a Bush speechwriter , what else should one expect ? To blame this lunatic act of hate on the damnable wog-hemp speaks alot more about some other alterior motives in relation to the decriminalization of a plant that has put far too many, otherwise law abiding citizens in jail wasting millions to incarerate for what ? To continue a policy enacted over 70 years ago thru similar nonsensical logic in order to save the profits of existing lucrative industries like the alcohol and tobacco industry. Nothing to do with right or wrong, unless your one of these boobs who sees the world as black and white and never met a law they didn’t like.
