Crossroads to Spend $20M on Obama Attack AdsPosted on Jun 26, 2011
The 2012 presidential election cycle begins Monday—at least that’s how it will appear when Crossroads GPS, a conservative action group advised by Karl Rove, airs a $5 million commercial attacking Barack Obama’s economic policies. Over the next two months, the amount spent on anti-Obama television ads in the campaign will total $20 million, a number that suggests conservatives are worried about whisperings that Obama will raise $1 billion for his re-election effort. Once again, the battle for the nation’s top job will be decided not by who can propose and do the most good for its people, but who can scare up the most money. —ARK

Dear ananman51,
You might revise your words after considering the fact
that the people you so easily call “fucking stupid” &
“morons” have been purposefully misinformed & misled
for generations, most especially since Reagan offered
us all his Jelly Beans & Twinkies. And of course its that
very money that the subject article is about that is used
to make & keep Americans misinformed & misled - 3.7
billion dollars last year on lobbying alone, I just read.
Blame the cause, not the consequence. And blame
those responsible for that cause, not their victims.
Even in the 2 very well-off American neighborhoods
where I lived for decades before moving recently, my
neighbors left for work at 6:00AM & returned home
past 7:00PM, & thus had very little time for getting
news from sources other than TV, their newspaper over
a quickly gobbled breakfast, & the largely useless like
of flipping through Time or Newsweek magazines.
They - not our fellow citizens - are driving us all mad,
you know. THEY. I’m sure that you know who they are,
& know equally well & personally how they spend
billions to disable our minds & freeze our hearts.
Fare thee well, friend.

Time for the biggest liars in our country to come back out of hiding and start lying all over again. What’ll it be this time, to take the place of the Swift Boats? What gigantic untruths will be invented by the Republican Lying Squad this time around? Is Obama a baby-raper? Why not? Everything else worked. Did Wicked Evil Obama sell our souls to the Devil? Sure, go for it! American voters are so fucking stupid they’ll believe anything. You think I’m kidding, don’t you? Wait and see how it goes. They will lie through their teeth, and the Red State Morons will eat it up. Can the news media tell the difference? Couldn’t last time, could they?

Hearts and minds cost money. This should be a particularly fun election year to watch.

That’s weird. They are not even funding a specific candidate. It is just an ideological campaign for ‘whoever.’
