Observer in Courtroom Throws Shoe at BreivikPosted on May 11, 2012
A relative of one of the victims of Anders Breivik’s rampage on the Norwegian island of Utoeya interrupted his mass murder trial by throwing a shoe at him and shouting, “You killed my brother! Go to hell!” The shoe missed Breivik and hit his lawyer instead. The court had been reviewing autopsy reports. Some in the court applauded the shoe-thrower as he was led away by police. A court official remarked that the incident was not surprising, given the emotional intensity of the trial. —ARK

As someone of norwegian decent, I had to laugh at this. Unfortunately, one of my
Report thisearliest memories is of my own norwegian father throwing a shoe during an argument with
my stepmother. I think I may have even thrown a shoe or two somewhere along the line.
Alas, norwegians may equal shoe throwers! LOL
