O’Donnell Accused of Dipping Into the Campaign Till

Christine O’Donnell raised a record $7.3 million in her 2010 bid to represent Delaware in the U.S. Senate, but allegations about how she spent that money and funds from previous campaigns have led to a criminal investigation by federal prosecutors and the FBI.

O’Donnell, whose rocky financial history was widely reported during the campaign, has been accused of spending campaign donations on personal expenses, including her rent, which, if true, is in direct violation of federal law.

According to the AP, the financial oversight of O’Donnell’s campaign left something to be desired. Consider that an operation as unstable as the one described below was tasked with accounting for $7.3 million.  —PZS

AP via Google:

During her three failed Senate bids, O’Donnell had numerous campaign treasurers, many of who left after serving brief stints. After losing two treasurers in 2009, she named herself treasurer until this past summer. Another short-term treasurer took over in August and resigned less than two months later, at which point [Matt] Moran added the treasurer’s role to his campaign manager responsibilities.

So Ms. “I-am-not-a-witch” has now taken a page from history, claiming “I-am-not-a-crook.”  LOL.

Ah, well… I wonder who would take the odds against her being guilty?

Those must be like 30 to 1.

Hey Christine:  Since there’s nothing to these charges, then I’m sure you won’t have any problem immediately making all financial records available to any and all investigators and other interested parties.  That way, you’ll have this whole nasty business resolved before the end of next week.

So?  We’re waiting…

She is innocent until proven guilty. That’s a given.  I respect and believe in that principle, even if our recently departed President didn’t and our current President sees lots of exceptions.

Now for the fun part!
What are the odds that Las Vegas and London bookmakers are giving that she’s guilty?

(and shouldn’t there be a verdict beyond “guilty” defined as “guilty as Hell!”?)

Ms. O’Donnell,

You are supposed to have savvier accountants help you embezzle money and use public donations for private exploitations.

Your well-capitalized peers in that show called the tea party movement / campaign surely know how to righteously steal contributions unto themselves… wonder why they kept that veil to themselves?

Ultimately, her real crime was not winning! Then most anything could have been forgiven or covered over..

To me it always looked as if she was running a fund-raising scam. A sort of energizer bunny campaign kept going to use the money and connections. Her level of success may have been as much of a surprise to her as to her detractors! .. it all reminds me closely of the antics of the half-term governor of Alaska.

Have fun!

Sad part is, there are still a lot of tools out there
to whom this will give her even more anti-establishment
cred. They hear her talking about all the forces
aligned against her and they eat it up. She’s their
martyr.

This woman is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. The same as Pvt.Manning.

Or do we want justice only for those we may empathize with.

Being from Michigan, I might be able to get her a cell next to Kwame Kilpatrick! He was recently indicted for 38 counts! Perhaps they suspect Chrissy “O” because she has no visible means of support!

BTW, she is not a witch!
