 Chicago Police Accused of Planting Evidence Against 3Posted on May 20, 2012
Three NATO summit protesters in their 20s were arrested Wednesday night on charges of conspiracy to commit terrorism with incendiary devices after Chicago police raided an apartment. The group’s attorney says weapons were planted at the scene of the arrests. Court documents allege the three intended to attack Barack Obama’s campaign headquarters and the home of Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel. Other activists say the three, whom Chicago police described as self-proclaimed anarchists and “Black Bloc” members, were in Chicago to protest peacefully, and that police confused beer-making equipment with explosives. Obama and representatives from 60 countries are meeting to discuss the war in Afghanistan and related issues at the summit opening Sunday. —ARK

Well I guess it is possible the police can be just like the fire men lighting fires so they can substantiate their existence and get paid doing it?
Beer making equipment, sounds a bit off the deep end to me. Now I have never been to Chicago, but since our congress operates at the 10th grade level, I wounder at what level the Chicago police operate at?
Seems to me, if these are a plant and the police wanted to substantiate their existence, they would be more effective and inclined to let the conspirators do their damage lighting the fires, then arrest them?
If I recall, the peaceful protestors in Italy had alleged Anarchist interlopers causing physical damage to taint the majority’s peaceful message, now who could be a plant?

The allegations of terrorism against the three seem to have disappeared awfully
quick from the media. That’s too bad, especially since the CPD and its overseers
have lots of explaining to do.
Report thisCouldn’t the definition of terrorism be expanded to include attempts to impugn
terrorism upon the most basic of rights, the freedom of assembly? Can Americans
be frightened away from collectively expressing themselves, or will they refuse the
intimidation and terroristic labeling through association?

It would be interesting if we could get some real answers: Did the men have beer making supplies with the beer bottles?. When is having knives and crossbows illegal? The claim that these men had a morter sounds totally preposterous. Were there any rounds for the tube? How much of the attack charges were initially suggested by the provocateur Police officer? If the federal cases of sting/ entrapments by the FBI are any guide, we can expect compliant/ complicit judges at the state level to allow this travesty to continue.

The Chicago police searched the apartment of the Chicago 3 and found, they said, bow and arrows, a sword, a mortar, glass bottles protective gear etc. Oh yeah, the two undercover cops left 3 Molotov cocktails for the PD to find. In all seriousness the Chicago PD wants the U.S. public to believe that 3 Occupy members were terrorists bent on attacking Rahm’s home & Obama headquarters with their sword, bow & arrows. It’s laughable. They must have FBI agents working overtime writing the “Occupy anarchist terrorist” fantasy script blah blah blah. Could Amnesty International and Human Rights watch adopt the men, and we all start writing letters to Rahm, Obama saying they are being framed and please dismiss the charges and let them go.

you really give these protester clowns more credit
that they are worth. no one is in fear of these
“occupiers”, rather simply toleration until they get
tired of the noise. then these protesters will be
crushed. the powers-that-be are only looking for an
excuse, be it in Chicago or the next little meeting
of occupiers. OWS is only a very small blip on the
social screen. not even worthy of mention on the
6:00 news…
as had been mentioned before, no change will come

How surprising. Three more patsies arrested and framed. The police plant evidence all the time. Why make a fuss? They’re only doing it to keep you safe from the bad guys - except that they ARE the bad guys. That’s the real breach of national security that no one ever wants to talk about.

As of 11:10 am Chicago time, Anonymous has taken down the Chicago Police website and its feared that the City of Chicago website may be next. Police are considering stopping all cell phone communication in Chicago this weekend(as if that was legitimate). Looks like we got em by the balls!

Chicago…..Illinois….What can you say….?
The state in which 2 of its former governors are currently in prison convicted of
corruption while in office. One for trying to sell a political appointment.
The state, is further in debt than Greece, with no hope of ever paying it’s debts,
it’s either defaulting or several years behind in paying it’s vendors.
Still I suppose there is some progress there, they used to just shoot you then plant
the evidence afterward. At least the arrested are alive, to fight it out in court.
It’s also where President Barak Obama got his political start, as a Senator.
