Bullied Bus Monitor Starts Anti-Bullying Foundation

Remember Karen Klein, the bus monitor who was at the center of a heartbreaking video that showed her being mercilessly bullied by a group of New York schoolchildren? Well, she is starting her own organization—the Karen Klein Anti-Bullying Foundation—which she hopes will prevent others from going through what she experienced.

Democrat and Chronicle:

The organization has been established as part of the GiveBack Foundation and according to its website, www.giveback.org, the mission of the Karen Klein Anti-Bullying Foundation is to put an end to bullying.

The foundation is launching a music tour called the No Bully Tour 2012 awareness campaign. It will also be supporting other organizations such as Max Sidorov’s 7 Million Acts of Love, Play Pretty, Play Pals Project and Pacer Center’s Teens Against Bullying.

An online fundraising campaign started by Toronto nutritionist Max Sidorov, who was inspired by the reaction of the 68-year-old grandmother, raised more than $700,000 with donations from more than 32,000 people to send Klein on a vacation.
