London Mayor Boris Johnson criticizes Mitt Romney’s Olympics comments.

Mitt Romney can’t seem to catch a break. First, his campaign caught flak Wednesday after an adviser anonymously told The Daily Telegraph that the Obama administration didn’t understand the relationship between the U.S. and England and that “we are part of an Anglo-Saxon heritage, and he [Romney] feels that the special relationship is special.” On Thursday, Romney was ridiculed by both British Prime Minister David Cameron and London Mayor Boris Johnson for comments he made questioning the city’s level of preparedness for the Olympics.

“We are holding an Olympic Games in one of the busiest, most active, bustling cities anywhere in the world. Of course it’s easier if you hold an Olympic Games in the middle of nowhere,” David Cameron said, taking a potshot at Romney’s leadership during the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City.

Johnson also ridiculed Romney for saying he was “disconcerted” over the city’s Olympic planning. “There are some people who are coming from around the world who don’t yet know about all the preparations we’ve done to get London ready in the last seven years,” Johnson said. “I heard there’s a guy called Mitt Romney who wants to know whether we’re ready. Are we ready? Yes we are!”

Here’s video of Johnson’s response to Romney’s Olympics remarks.
