Just when we’d gotten used to life without presidential campaign nonsense, here it comes again. What better way to kick it off than with the news that none other than Newt Gingrich is expected to announce that he’s putting together an exploratory committee in preparation for a possible run on the White House? We ask you.  —KA

Politico:

Newt Gingrich is expected to announce his presidential exploratory on Thursday, a person familiar with the matter confirmed to POLITICO.

Another source privy to Gingrich’s plans for Thursday said he intends to hold a midday meeting in Atlanta with a group of friends and supporters, some of whom may play a role in his 2012 operation. Afterward, he is scheduled to meet at the state Capitol with Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal for a discussion about states’ rights. Deal, who served with Gingrich in the House, has pledged to support the former speaker if he runs for president.

Got to love that newt; he’d make a great TV nighttime host on Fox spewing ideological demogogary and half-truths. The list of neocon-guests is bountiful.

We no longer have to waste time worrying about a Newt 2012 presidential ticket. Now that Bachmann is ‘considering running’, Newt is toast. Obviously, Bachmann is by far the most qualified of the GOPer potentials. Unless, of course, Bristol throws her tiara into the ring.

Newt in the Whitehouse.  A frightening thought. samosamo’s idea above sounds good, big money has to be taken out of politics and the electoral process.  That along with some monetary reform and the country will be much better off. Banks are literally taking all income taxes through interest on government debt. If anyone is interested, I recommend watching “Money as Debt 2” on youtube (approx 1 hr).  It’s a very eye opening video about money and how it’s created. Before watching I had no idea.  It seems like a big scam and steals our tax $$$. North Dakota uses ideas presented to balance it’s budget, the rest of the country could too.

The Silly Season has arrived, a bit ahead of schedule. And The Newt is getting a lot of support for his presidential run from an unexpected source. There are rumors that President Barack Obama is secretly organizing nationwide Christian, Muslim, and Wailing Wall prayer meetings to ask all The Almightys to make Newt/Sarah (or Sarah/Newt) the GOPer ticket for 2012.

Asked about the rumors, the President was a bit coy. ‘Well’, he said, ‘It is true that I would like a second term’.

****************

What this country needs it the ‘newt’ law where there is
absolutely NO campaigning until 6 weeks before ANY election.
Any such pre-campaign would be a felony and a conviction with
mandatory 1 year + a day prison sentence. Disqualifies
candidate from running for office.

Two weeks priory to campaigning, each candidate must submit a
formal resume, listing all voting records in any office and a
detailed history of the candidates education, a list of
employment. Any discrepancies disqualify candidate from
running for office.

Only public financing of the campaign is allowed. Any candidate
taking money for said campaign is a felony with a mandatory 1
year and a day sentence to be served. Any funding disqualifies
candidate from running for office.

Once campaigning commences, any debates and interviews are
limited to what the candidate views on issues are and NO
attacks of any kind on any other candidates. All debates and
interviews are to be carried by the msm with no commentary.

I would say that each candidate would have to put their hand on
a bible and swear an oath to uphold his/her campaign promises
but face it, just like o, these charlatans would sacrifice their
husbands and wives and children to win an office and it would
be, if I believed it, what I would the expect the devil to do if he
was running for office, place his hand on a bible and swear.

Not to mention, it’s a game and no one would understand much
less go for something like this, it just wouldn’t have the ‘jerry
springer’ style that hold audiences in such rapture.
