This is a breaking update. Earlier: NAACP President Ben Jealous, speaking on “Democracy Now!,” which is reporting live from the prison where Troy Davis was scheduled to be executed at 7 p.m. Eastern time, said that he spoke with Davis’ lawyers and learned that the Supreme Court has delayed the execution. Davis could still be executed within minutes. Advertisement New and Improved CommentsWe are launching a major overhaul of our comments section. Over the years my thinking has evolved with the death
Report thispenalty just as it has with gay marriage. I no longer
believe in it as two many innocent people have set free
who were wrongly convicted and whether of not you
receive it depends upon where you live and the color of
the skin of the victim. When you live by the rule of an
eye for an eye, we all wind up blind.
