The digital war of position between WikLeaks and those who have something to hide got a bit more barbed as Bank of America, a likely target in the next WikiLeaks documents drama, announced it will refuse to process payments to the website.

BofA thus joins MasterCard, Visa and PayPal in denying funds to the site. WikiLeaks has said its next big leak will focus on the banking meltdown and the financial sector.  —JCL

CNET News:

Bank of America has added its name to a list of several financial institutions that have refused to process payments for WikiLeaks as the site reportedly readies a document release that targets the banking giant.

“This decision is based upon our reasonable belief that WikiLeaks may be engaged in activities that are, among other things, inconsistent with our internal policies for processing payments,” the bank announced late yesterday.

The announcement comes on the heels of similar moves made by MasterCard, Visa, and PayPal earlier this month, which have limited WikiLeaks’ ability to raise funds to support its Web site’s operation. Those institutions’ Web sites subsequently came under cyberattack by a hacker group in retaliation for the moves.

RayLan, - “I’ve never met a Republican I thought wasn’t either a self-centered asshole or just totally disconnected from reality…”

-

You’re clearly an intolerant bigot.  No amount of gyrating or rationalizing will make people forget that.

Oh boy.  Here we go…setting the stage for all electronic payment entities to make
judgements about the purchase they are processing. How long ‘til you won’t be
able to buy cigarettes or porn on your debit card.

@go
“same intolerant hatred for people who think unlike myself as you have”
I could cherry pick many examples of your biggoted remarks- but your argument is circular - I don’t characterize based on what is different from me - but on its own merit (or demerit)
Anybody who makes a platform out of indifference to the unemployed and the poor and championing the rich - could hardly be considered tolerant and kind.
Jesus Himself reserved some pretty harsh words for religious hypocrites and the selfish rich.
See - the parable of the rich man and Lazarus.
So spare me your disingenous sanctimony.

Raylan - “All the cynical nasty remarks you’ve made…”

-

LOL…..you’re full of, well, something.  I call it unmitigated, bigoted, hatred.  You may call it something else.

Which nasty remarks would you be referring to? Have I, for example, displayed the same intolerant hatred for people who think unlike myself as you have?  Feel free to point it out.

@Go
Your one trick pony was predictable - the bigot taking offense.
Black isn’t white - intolerance isnt’ tolerance -
I can’t square the circle- I call em as I see em.
All the cynical nasty remarks you’ve made on so many conceivable topics makes your bid for tolerance laughable.

What an open-minded, kind, tolerant and peace-loving individual you are.

I’ve personally met thousands of kind and tolerant liberals willing to listen to all views. I meet them everywhere.  Unfortunately those same people rarely participate on this Web space.

Makes perfect cents- the hounds of corporate America are howling - their vested interests in the spoils of war being threatened - their biggest bone.
