Fearing a win by tea party wunderkind Marco Rubio, Bill Clinton asked his friend Kendrick Meek, the Democrat in the race, to drop out and endorse Republican Gov. Charlie Crist’s independent bid. Meek almost agreed, but ultimately decided to stick it out, according to reports.

The Meek campaign denies that the Democrat was ever going to drop out of the race.

Meek currently trails both of his rivals by a substantial margin and Rubio leads Crist by double digits.  —PZS

New York Times:

Mr. Clinton, who is a close friend of Mr. Meek, had come close to convincing him to drop out last week while they were campaigning together across the state, [Clinton’s spokesman] Mr. McKenna said. The pair even came close to setting a date – Oct. 26 — at which Mr. Meek would endorse Mr. Crist and hold a rally.

But the idea fell apart after Mr. Meek changed his mind, Mr. McKenna confirmed.

?!?!?!?!  Where on God’s great earth did you come up with THAT bit of absurd, right-wing claptrap?

Go back to the extremist TP boards where you can be happy interacting with people who are as clueless and uninformed as you are…

Bill and Hillary Clinton have lost the Nations respect! It is sad, but true!

If an elected President can’t carry his own agenda and make re-elections happen for the incumbents—what does that say about our leadership!

The sneaky Govt has pulled off a BIG ONE on Americans!  GUESS WHO IS EXEMPT FROM THE OBAMA HEALTH CARE REFORM—OBAMA!

The others that are EXEMPT FROM THE OBAMA HEALTH CARE REFORM are—MUSLIMS/ISLAMS/JEWS/some politicians!

Discrimination should not have ever been allowed by our Congress—or this President!  Obama promised Americans would have the same health as he had—that is a lie!

Now-Muslims-Islam-some politicians—are EXEMPT—
Latinos-Blacks-Jews-and Americans—WE ARE NOT EXEMPT!

This is a sad story, but true-I burned my Senators office staff yesterday when I called to confirm the information that I had been told.  The word pg 152 DHIMMITUDE means Muslim citizens-Islam Religion!

Kick those incumbents out of DC—discrimination should never been used by our Congress or President!

A legislation (Obama Health Care) never read completely—Pelosi-Dirty Harry Reid—Boxer-and all Democrats who voted for this bill—have no BUSINESS IN WASHINGTON!

VOTE THEM OUT—I am not so sure if our Govt will declare A NATIONAL EMERGENCY WHICH WOULD DELAY VOTING ON 11-2!  I said this weeks ago—and now Democrats are in trouble—Delaying a VOTE could happen—and most likely will happen!  Why?  Dems can’t lose their POWER~!

Clinton is scum, always was, always will be.

In my America, the people decide who should run, not oligarchs like NAFTA/DADT Clinton.

Remember, it was the Democrats who filed suit after suit to keep Nader off of many State’s ballots in 2000, and 2004, and blamed his candidacy for the failure of Gore to mention the economy success of his administration.

Go back to your hole Clinton, rub shoulders with your buds, the Bushes, and stay there.  At least W has enough sense to know he’s an idiot.

The ultimate in the folly of ‘lessor-evilism’.

The classic Democrat line.  Vote for this right-winger who you don’t like and who will totally shaft you and rob you .... because you need to be very afraid of the guy even further right.

The classic Clinton/DLC election strategy. Only now its following its ever rightward path to the point where now he’s telling his pro-corporate friends in the Democratic party to get out of a race to support Republicans.

This just makes the folly of this ‘vote for the lessor evil’ approach even more apparent.  Because, if you do vote Republican and you win, you are still ruled by a pro-corporate Republican.  You’re still shafted.

The only difference this time is that the pro-corporate Republican who’s going to shaft you actually has an (R) next to his name.  Usually Clinton is working hard to get you to vote for a pro-corporate Republican with a (D) after their name.

Bill says, “That’s a lovely family you have there Kendrick. It would be a shame if something happened to them.”

Then Bill says, “I never specifically asked Kendrick to drop out of the race. I told him he should do what he thought best.”

The reason I believe Clinton did what he is being accused of is because, if anybody has learned the value of “the appearance of impropriety” it’s Clinton. And he wouldn’t make the mistake of even remotely “appearing” to urge Meeks to quit.

When will American blacks realize that the Democratic Party could not care less about them? It wants to keep them poor and on the welfare plantation, then promises them, emptily, that it will get money from rich white people to help them out of poverty and off welfare. The War on Poverty has been a far bigger waste of taxpayer money than any military war we’ve ever fought.

The man who won the ‘92 Demo nomination on the state murder of Ricky Ray Rector strikes again.

This Arkansas pimp, who handed over the Democratic Party to corporate vampires, should be stuck in a hole somewhere with his slimy mouth permanently sewn shut and nothing but his hand for comfort.

Actually, let’s make it worse. Throw Hillary in the hole with him.

Let’s look at this, shall we? Charlie Crist is playing right out of the Republican
handbook: repeat lies until they become truth. He planted the rumor in the WSJ
(his campaign have admitted it) he planted the story about Clinton asking Meek
to drop out (we now know that he asked a staffer to ask Clinton to ask him and
the conversation between Meek and Clinton never seriously considered
dropping out) he has repeatedly used operatives to drop misinformation in
minority communities spreading lies.

Meek came out of the primary (something Charlie was afraid to do) winning by
26%. He won against a billionaire that out spent him by almost 5 times. People
doubted him until that point. Then we rallied behind the democrat because we
knew that he could beat Rubio. Then Crist started saying Meek couldn’t do it,
that he needed to drop out. If you repeat this enough, then the uninformed
people don’t give it any thought and start repeating it, and ta-da now you have
truth.

Crist has been playing dirty politics since day one. He could not stick out a
primary and being the career opportunist that he is, he bailed. The sad part is
the democrats are too cowardly to stand behind their chosen candidate. We
know that Kendrick is the perfect democratic candidate for Florida and if
everyone would stop saying he cannot do it, then he can.

Let’s also consider the polling methods. Who do they poll? Do they only poll
landlines? Yes. Do they under-poll minorities, knowing that they will constitute
a bigger percentage of voters? Yes. By doing both of these things they are
under-polling Meek. Ask yourself this, were any of the polls correct in the
primary for Meek? No, because they have never polled him correctly. Now is no
different. He is not truly as low in the polls as it appears.

If for no other reason, no one should vote for Charlie because he cannot be
trusted. He cannot run a fair campaign. Why should we think he would behave
any differently in the Senate?
