Big CIA Bust Reported in Iran

This information, we should note, comes from Iran’s state-sponsored news agency, but officials in Tehran said Wednesday they had arrested as many as 12 CIA agents who had been working undercover to gather intelligence about the Iranian nuclear program and what the government planned to do with it.

If they actually happened, the arrests in Iran would follow on the heels of similar bad news for the American spy agency in its operations in Lebanon. One vocal member of the Iranian government linked U.S. clandestine activities in Iran with—you guessed it—Israeli interests.  —KA

BBC:

Parviz Sorouri, an influential lawmaker, said the agents were targeting Iran’s military and its nuclear programme.

He said they were operating in co-ordination with Israel’s Mossad and other regional agencies.

[...] “The US and Zionist regime’s espionage apparatuses were trying to use regional intelligence services, both inside and outside Iran, in order to deal a strong blow to our country,” he was quoted as saying.

“Fortunately, these steps failed due to the quick measures taken by Intelligence Ministry officials,” Mr Sorouri said.

Excellent information from some of the posters.
If the Iranians could have been certain that the spies were not capable of sabotaging their centrifuges or other equipment at the nuclear power plants, the Iranians should have left the spies alone, to report back that they could find no evidence of nuclear weapons building.

2005 and After: US Officials Encourage and Advise Pakistani Sunni Militant
Group

Abdul Malik Rigi. [Source: ABC News]

According to US and Pakistani intelligence sources interviewed by ABC News, US
officials begin encouraging and advising Jundullah, a Pakistani militant group
that has been staging attacks against Iran. The group is made up of members
of the Baluchi tribe and operates out of the Baluchistan province in Pakistan,
just across the border from Iran. [ABC NEWS, 4/3/2007] Iran says the group is
linked to al-Qaeda. [REUTERS, 5/13/2007]

Jundullah’s leader, Abdul Malik Rigi, formerly fought with the Taliban. Alexis
Debat, a senior fellow on counterterrorism at the Nixon Center, tells ABC that
Rigi “used to fight with the Taliban. He’s part drug smuggler, part Taliban, part
Sunni activist.” Rigi commands “a force of several hundred guerrilla fighters
that stage attacks across the border into Iran on Iranian military officers,
Iranian intelligence officers, kidnapping them, executing them on camera,”
Debat explains.

According to ABC sources, the US government is not funding the group. [ABC
NEWS, 4/3/2007] Rather the group is receiving money and weapons through
the Afghan and Pakistani military and Pakistan’s intelligence service, the ISI.

February 26, 2007: Vice President Cheney Travels to Pakistan to Meet with
Pakistani President Musharraf

Vice President Dick Cheney flies to Pakistan to meet with President Pervez
Musharraf. The White House is tight-lipped about the trip and refuses to
provide details about what the two leaders discuss. But media accounts, citing
administration officials, suggest that Cheney warns Musharraf that US aid to
Pakistan could be in jeopardy if his government does not improve in its efforts
to combat al-Qaeda and the Taliban. [NEW YORK TIMES, 2/26/2007]

Cheney’s trip comes after the head of US military operations in Afghanistan
compiled a dossier of evidence indicating the Pakistani government is secretly
supporting the militants attacking US troops in Afghanistan (see Autumn 2006-
February 2007). But Cheney is known to be a strong supporter of Musharraf and
generally has blocked pressure against him (see June 27, 2007).

Pakistani intelligence sources will later tell ABC news that the two leaders
discussed a secret operation (see 2005 and After) to support attacks against
Iran by the Sunni militant group Jundullah. [ABC NEWS, 4/3/2007]

CSI Forensics Proves Who Killed US Marines - Evidence shows Israel is Guilty!

http://65.118.73.164/cache/forensics.htm By Ralph Forbes

General Kelly

The Beirut bombing that killed 241 U.S. Marines was “the largest non-nuclear explosion in history,” according to General Paul X. Kelley, past-Commandant of the Marine Corps.
[...]

U.S. military intelligence’s equivalent of CSI (Crime Scene Investigators), using the most sophisticated, high tech diagnostic tests, forensically examined evidence found at the scene of the terrorist explosion that killed 241 U.S. Marines in Beirut - They know where the bomb came from, but the stunning truth has been suppressed for 23 years. Even without full disclosure of those test results, experts on explosives and terrorism believe more than enough proof exists to establish who is guilty. The truck that blew up the Marine Barracks was loaded with 666 pounds of enhanced RDX “rag bombs.”

The Israelis call RDX, “rag bombs,” because they use it to kill “rag-heads” or to blame bombings on “rag-heads.” Also, the “safest” way to handle it is in “rags” that have been soaked in RDX and dried. Their planted bombs often look like a pile of dirty “rags.” [...]

Forensic Evidence Points to Israelis Guilty of Massacre of U.S. Marines! The RDX that killed our Marines was “enhanced” with propane gas and primed with PETN boosters or detonation cord, according to Yosef Bitar, Lebanon’s top explosive expert. Bitar is an expert; between 1975 and 1983 he had defused 1,870 bombs! Gas-enhanced RDX bombs are exotic devices. Only explosive experts with a great deal of practical experience can prepare a gas-enhanced bomb. The bomb must be prepared so that first the gas cylinders are exploded to create a cloud in which the RDX is detonated. The gas cloud “amplifies” the exploding plastic charge. [...]

Ralph Forbes had appointments to the U.S. Air Force Academy and West Point, but eager to help his country fight Communism he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps instead. While on active duty he volunteered for combat missions in both Lebanon and Vietnam. “Thank God, they didn’t send me; because today I know the real purposes of these wars were not for America, but against her.”
