Biden in Israel: ‘It’s Good to Be Home’

Biden and Peres

Israeli President Shimon Peres, left, shakes hands with U.S. Vice President Joseph Biden during their meeting at Peres’ residence in Jerusalem on Tuesday.

Vice President Joe Biden went a-courtin’ in Israel on Tuesday, meeting with Israeli President Shimon Peres and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Jerusalem in an effort to bring the U.S. and Israel closer and “allay that layer of mistrust that has built up in the last several years,” as Biden put it.  —KA

CNN:

“There is absolutely no space between the United States and Israel when it comes to Israel’s security—none at all,” Biden said.

Peres began a long discussion about what the United States should do about Iran and the Middle East peace process. Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s statements about Israel, he said, were a coverup for the “hegemony” it seeks in the region.

“The United States should lead the Iranian policy,” Peres said. “There is nobody else in the world.”

[...] Peres called Biden a “true friend” of Israel, and Biden said, “It’s good to be home.”

ROY:

Stop your whining and labeling and deflecting….you can’t cover up who you really are:

- a racist bigot at the core who has a superiority complex about himself and his race.

- someone who condones murdering and killing of innocent civilians under the name of Zionism and religious fanaticism.

No matter how much you scream and holler and whine and bitch, moan, quote, blow hot air, blame others, blah blah blah…that’s what you are.

Look at yourself for most of the problems we’re facing over there currently.  You are, without a doubt, the major reason for them.  No ifs, ands, or buts…

Now whine some more.

Arabian Sindad and Nozferatu
Say, are you guys movie stars? Your terrorist sounding rhetoric sounds just like the bad guys in the Arnold Swartzennegger movie “True Lies.”  It’s almost verbatim.
Also, the famous author Joel Richardson breaks new ground with a devastating account of the possible connection between the Biblical Antichrist and the Islamic Mahdi. The Bible predicts that in the last days a charismatic leader will establish a global following in the name of peace. The Quran also predicts that a man will rise up to lead the nations, pledging to usher in an era of peace. The man in the Quran is called the Mahdi, or Islam’s savior. However, the man in the Bible is the Antichrist. Could it be possible that they are one and the same person? Richardson’s stunning research and analysis suggest that it is.
Hey guys, I would recommend that you put this on your reading list, it could open some eyes?

Just what this website needs another self-rightous nitwit labeler.  A malcontent with nothing to offer.

Freedom of speech is a bitch, many here happen to agree with Gilad Atzmon, an Israeli of note and one whom I agree with.

cheers.

One State ,two States, but more than likely a State of confusion. The Israeli Govt. has been engaged in dialogue with the USA for decades now and nothing has come to

fruition regarding a peaceful settlement.During or following each war between Israel and the other belligerents,it seems to always come down to some falsehood

or other. Whether it’s the Palestinian’s fault or it’s Lebanon’s fault or Syria ,Hezbollah ,Hamas; you get the picture. This time around it will be Iran’s fault.PM Netanyahu will

meet President Obama and they will exchange niceties between themselves and perhaps a few Jewish treats and afterwards the discussion will begin.Trying to decipher

what will be on the agenda ,is anyone’s guess.Perhaps Moldova would be a good start ,since Avigdor Lieberman originated from there and Progress doesn’t seem to be

moving fast enough, another Color might have to be found. Germany could possibly be an interesting topic, since it is not just the Russians that are gazing westward ,but

the Germans are doing likewise eastwards. Both countries have been known to cooperate between themselves in order to gain strength or unshackle restraints.Poland geographically

wedged between the two is a convenient obstacle,so to speak.Georgia on my mind, did not turn out quite as planned, but neither did the ‘G’ word while President Obama was in

Turkey. Will the Armenians sway towards the Russians or towards Turkey ,since President Sarkozy responded with a categorical ‘no’ to President Obama’s proposal to incorporate

the Turks in the EU. Afterwards the ‘STANS’ of central Asia come into the discussion along with the Chinese ,in order to figure out which way the Caspian oil is going to flow, will

it be westwards or eastwards ‘actually south would be the most economically viable way’ but that’s out of the question.Following another cup of tea and some delicious Jewish

pastry the Arab States ,actually the ‘moderate Arab States’ along with their serious concerns ,with reference to Iran will be analyzed. Finally the Iranian nuclear threat will be

discussed in depth because of the ‘thorn ’ it poses in Israel’s side.In the end Iran might prove to be Israel’s Achilles heel and lead to another failed peace initiative, but remember

it’s all Irans Fault.

“Gerard:  Empire USA would be a functioning democracy if most of the politicians were honest.”
The second quote is okay, but the first one is wrong, wrong, wrong!

Please correct your error.  I am an optimist, but not that kind of empty-headed optimism which might suppose that politicians are “honest.”  If they were honest, they would not do the things they all do. They are opportunists.  I hope you are not like that.

Your racist rants are a threat to peace.

Your a racist that subscribes to invention to justify your evilness.

Now you stand accused for what you accuse. Should one subject you to the same hate and violence you wish on others?

The Banality of Jewish Symbolism

by Gilad Atzmon

Tuesday, March 9, 2010

“In a remarkable exposé of the Mossad operation in Dubai, The Times happens to refer to Meir Dagan’s (the Mossad chief) ‘philosophy’. “The tone of Dagan’s directorship is set by a photograph on the wall of his modest office in the Tel Aviv headquarters. It shows an old Jew standing on the edge of a trench. An SS officer is aiming his rifle at the old man’s head. ‘This old Jew was my grandfather’ Dagan tells visitors”. According to The Times, the picture reflects Dagan’s belief: “We should be strong, use our brain, and defend ourselves so that the Holocaust will never be repeated,”

Dagan’s interpretation of the photographic symbolism as a license to kill is rather banal yet common amongst Jews and Zionists in particular. However, this interpretation is far from being the only interpretation available. I haven’t seen the Photograph on Dagan’s wall but I guess that it must depict a devastatingly intense situation between a murderer in Nazi uniform and an oppressed Jewish man facing his death. However, Dagan and to a certain tragic extent, far too many Jews, are clearly fascinated by the role of the man with a rifle rather than with the ordeal of their collective grandfather, a defenseless venerable victim. Instead of grasping the Holocaust as a universal message against racism or oppression of any kind, Dagan and his Jewish State interpret the holocaust as a license to execute.

Though the photograph can be realised as a simplistic symbolic binary opposition between the innocent (Jew) and the evil (Nazi) there is a further element in these photographs that is totally dismissed by Jewish post war political, intellectual and ideological discourse namely universalism. Unlike the Zionist or in our case Dagan, who draws some immediate murderous ‘operative’ conclusions that are there to serve the Jewish tribe and that tribe only, a humanist would stare at such a photograph and try to come up with some ideas that may present us all with some positive prospects of a better future for humanity as a whole.

In the late 1940’s a few sporadic Jewish thinkers insisted that after Auschwitz the Jews should position themselves at the forefront of the battle against evil. Not only has this never happened, the Jewish state is now established as the leading danger for world peace. Moreover, Jewish lobbies enthusiastically support racist ideologies (Zionism) and push for colonial expansionist and interventionist conflicts around the world.”

The apple polisher,Joe Biden, the Vice President of the United States of America, tells the president of Israel: “good to be home” in Israel. Home??? He must be kidding!!!

Amazing and amusing!!!!!
===============================
I share your sentiments Garo. However, nothing was amazing and amusing about what this sell-out can do since I heard him saying at AIPAC during the presidential campaign, “We are all Zionists.” So going to Zionist Israel for him is going home. So I don’t blame him for that, but I am amazed and amused, like you, that this misguided man has the audacity to declare that he is there on a peace mission between Israel and the Palestinians. What amazes me is that such stupid thinking politician, despite his already declared feelings in favor of the terrorist-occupiers, thinks that he can have credibility with the Palestinian victims of colonialist Israel and the US!

If Joe Biden means what he said to the president of Israel,he should stay there in his “good to be home” and President Obama should find himself another Vice President who cares only to be “good to be home” in America, not in any other foreign country.

The Vice president is selling himself,as well as the United States, short.

Pity the nation that allowed itself to be represented by Joe Biden and his ilk!!!!

John Ellis:
“...democracy, namely equal access to power and economical equality.” That’s communism John, not democracy. No “democrat” has ever promised economic equality.

“Why, England USA would still own all the oil rights in Iran, Israel would have finished its ethnic cleansing of Palestine, the Gaza coast would be all high class resorts, and the two nations just north of Israel would now be suffering the same occupation as Palestine.”

And pigs would fly. You’re an idiot.

The BBC World news just noted that at a press conference with Joe Biden
present the Israeli government announced the contruction of 1600 new/old
settlements

Does this mean Israel has the US by the tail? Or does it mean the US has been
had by the tail?

Regardless which it might be the lone loser is the US taxpayer. That
Israeli/Palestenian duet has cost the US close to $3 trillion dollars. Israel’s
share estimated at $1.8 trillion.

Sounds lopsided to me—first giving time to Israel, and all the “Bibi” nonsense.  If Israel needs “reassurance” so bad, they must really feel weak—in spite of their expansion and their nukes.
Biden appears to be kissing off the abuses being suffered daily by the Palestinians—land and water theft, being shut in by a wall, daily check-point indignities, loss of employment, lack of food.
It will take impartiality (at least) to move the area toward justice and peace.  It will take speaking truth to Israeli power.  Why do US reps never meet with the groups of “peace people” (Arabs, Jews and Christians) working together in Israel for decades, and encourage them? Ask them for advice?
Give them some publicity?  Why is the US afraid to give the Palestinians a real lift?  It’s amazing how fear dominates American foreign policies.
