Villagers paint in anticipation of the president’s visit.

As the so-called Birthers continue to obsess over Barack Obama’s Kenyan roots, the president is en route to Ireland, where he will visit another of his ancestral homes. The tiny village of Moneygall, which produced Obama’s great-great-great-grandfather, has been busy sprucing up the place.

For what it’s worth, Wikipedia claims the village’s name translates to “foreigners’ thicket.”  —PZS

BBC:

Later, the US leader, together with First Lady Michelle Obama, will visit the village of Moneygall, Co Offaly, which was the home of his great-great-great grandfather on his mother’s side, Falmouth Kearney.

A huge security operation has been put in place around the village.

Moneygall, which only has 300 residents, has covered its main street in stars and stripes and prepared a warm welcome for President Obama in the village pub.

That does not matter that he is Irish. The same racist pigs that hate him now, their ancestors hated the Irish in the early development of our nation. So it really does not change things for him. Oh they hated the Chinese, the Italians, the Polish, the Native Americans, the Jews (they just tolorate Jews because of Armageddon, when they think Jews will be swept away to hell),the Arabs, the Indians, the Japanese, oh hell everyone that does not have their sickness.

If “great-great-great-grandfathers” (five generations removed?) are sufficient to claim heritage, I am likely Asian, African, European, Polynesian, Eskimo, Navajo, Malay, Ainu, Uighur, Saami, and at the very same time, related to Anastasia herself.

Obama will pretend he’s Irish for a day, and spread
about a great deal of blarney about it.  Then, the next
day officials will ‘clarify’ his remarks and tell you
that it was all blarney, just like they do every day.
