In addition to more robust spam filtering and moderation, new features include the ability to rate other comments, sort how they are displayed and respond directly via e-mail or in a thread. Unfortunately, commenters will lose their existing Truthdig identities. It's a pain, we know, but on the plus side you will now be able to log in with a plethora of options, including Google, Twitter, Facebook and Disqus accounts. Before launching this system we spent months in discussion with our top commenters. We listened to the feedback and we hope you like what we've come up with. Well, fellow citizens, either we, collectively, stand up NOW and SCREAM… “NO MORE”... or the control freaks who set themselves in authority over us will turn us all into BORG DRONES.
Allow them to filter the net and you might just as well disengage from it. There will be no going back. It will be increasing censorship until you’re getting access ONLY to what they approve. That’s like using a library where some anal retentive committee chooses which topics/opinions/facts are on the shelves. Useless.
I pity the next generation. What a crap filled world they’re getting stuck with.
