An Arizona utility official has responded to Los Angeles’ high-profile boycott of his state by threatening to starve L.A. of electrical power generated in Arizona. L.A. officials quickly fired back by pointing out that while the city gets about 25 percent of its power from plants in Arizona, it partly owns those facilities.

The Los Angeles City Council voted with only one dissenter to boycott Arizona because of the state’s immigration law. Both the mayor’s office and the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power have signaled their support of the boycott.

Sources: ABC News, Los Angeles Times, LAist, KABC

ABC News:

“I feel like if you’re going to boycott the candy store, you’ve got to leave all the candy alone,” said Arizona Corporation Commissioner Gary Pierce. Arizona provides 25 percent of Los Angeles’ power.

“I feel like Arizona is the candy store,” he added.

KABC:

The mayor’s office responded to Arizona’s threat on Wednesday.

“The mayor stands strongly behind the city council on this issue and will not respond to threats from a state which has isolated itself from the America that values freedom, liberty and basic civil rights,” the statement read.

Election Year Medicaid Medicare Inducement issues left open for November not openly discussed. Politics have gone from heated to Man on fire thoughts. Also the Judicial dilemmas, since all are offically allowed to bear arms again, the big city Mayors are concerned about how the poor will be able to rearm themselves and are looking for some type of financial relief from Federal State Medicaid programs to maintain status quo.The higher courts face tough issues this term since making honest fraud legal, there agenda now turns toward making honest kickbacks and honest bribes equally as legal. This topic remains high as a shared issue by the medicaid medicare enrollment providers since they are looking to expand inducements past the complicated pregnancy stage. The DOJ has serious concerns that if legalized marijuana in California for medical reasons could be used as a inducement or inticement to help secure new enrollments for the Federal State Medicare Medicaid programs. The State of California is concerned that if the Feds step up their effort in killing off the marijuana crops it could cause higher tax problems that effect Medicaid currently under consideration by the State marijuana tax control board.Limo drivers cancel their planned DC rally and leave for California to protect this years crop. Wow, don’t think I would like to be in Politics for this years elections. Govenor Schwarzenegger indicated that if the Tea Partys membership keeps holding their rallies at our Marijuana burning fields they will have to be taxed for their free use of inhalants, prior to having them bused back to Arizona.

So the wedge gets wider and wider. They used the “racecard” to spilt and prevent rational discussion over immigration and have now managed to split the Union. Their ultimate goal is to break away from the U.S.A. all together—-@#ck ‘em!!

I was disappointed and a little ashamed when Az. allowed S.Palin to use the “illegals” issue for personal political gain. Yeah, ashamed. Like the latino political thugs in L.A., she could care less about hard working Mexicans or, hard working Americans.

I no longer hear any calls for unity in America. Despite the obvious corruption and failure in D.C. there is no real change. Many at this site desire Socialist overthrow and hate is a real undercurrent. Many here don’t remember, but there was a brief window in the 60’s when we all stood together, when we were all Americans first. At least that was what I felt. Later we became a house divided and fell. Latino politicos have exploited the division and—who can blame them. D.C. is inept and corrupt why not flood the country with crime and illegals and seize control. Well, they have. They’ve bankrupted California, Arizona, if they get their way, is next.

Now, the President of Mexico shows up to shake his finger in Obamas face and Mr.O rolls over. The America I was born in is gone forever. I will never forgive or forget those who used the “racecard” to destroy my country.

What “Ear to the Ground” may want to do is actually look into the story and not
quote another news outlet like KABC7, who is probably one of the laziest news
outlets in Southern California.
The AZ commissioner didn’t “threaten” anyone. He is calling LA’s bluff. If LA wants
to get all indignant about boycotting AZ, he is giving them an outlet. Hey, if you
want to boycott AZ, let’s go ahead and go full force and pull the plug on your
electricity that comes from AZ. He never threatened to do it, he offered to tear up
the contract if LA wanted to.  The Blogger on this site may want to do his/her
homework instead of just copying the lazy and apathetic local media.

If you really want to screw up a state, just follow California’s map. Here’s the roadmap:

1. First rush in 20 million latinos within 70 years. Allow them to live and work illegally setting up immigrant networks that control entire industries so no English speaking white or black person can work in those industries.

2. Encourage them to produce as many anchor babies as possible by offering to pay for everything from healthcare, welfare, free school, etc… while encouraging them to send the money they earn out of the country.

3. Destroy your education system. Take it from number one in the nation to number 47th like we did here in California.

4. Make gangsterism “cool.” Let the roaches setup gangs to control entire sections of your state from one end to the other. These gangs will be 24/7 criminal soldiers for their latino prison gang and engage in theft, assault, murder, and drugs as a normal lifestyle. Be sure to take away the law abiding citizens that do remain’s ability to defend themselves.

5. Elect Mencha La Raza reconquesta Hispanic males and fat white feminist modern liberal bullies to run everything from school boards and Mayor’s offices to the Senate and Congress. Make sure your Governor has a Kennedy wife.

6. Let tort run rampant so everything ends up in court. I mean if a gangbanger stubs his toe in the commission of a crime the ACLU will be there to make sure he is compensated for it.

7. Spend millions of dollars on every criminal to try them and house them for $55k a year ensuring they get better socialized healthcare than any taxpaying American gets.

8. Finally, when someone awakes from this insanity: boycott them for trying to save themselves.

That’s it! How to destroy a state 101 courtesy of a Californian. I hope this discussion has been informative.

Compassion for each other is our highest calling especially in hard times. Diversity is what makes us strong and gives us character. Turn off your TV and rid yourselves of the hate-talk spewing from corporate media. They want us to hate each other. Stay clear of that trap. It will take everyone down.

Arizona owns the facilities.  There isn’t much they can do about it.

I don’t think that the commissioner threatened anything.  Rather, he simply asked
Mayor V. if he intended to enforce the boycott against all things Arizonan, and if
therefore they would need to renegotiate energy supply contracts.
Liberals, of which I am one, often lack a sense of humor, even the ability to sense
humor!

California is the Greece of the USA pulling the whole nation down into hell, NOT Arizona.

Pull the life support on the rotting carcass that is left of California. It is nothing but a waste of precious resources now.

Good for Arizona. If LA doesn’t want anything to do with Arizona, doesn’t that mean everything? If they’re too good to go to Arizona, then they don’t need the power from Arizona.

AZ: So cut off all of the AZ power they get and unbolt the equivalent of what “part” of your grid they own.  Haul it across the CA border with ILLEGALS and let them have it back.

Calling for a NATIONAL boycott list of the cities & organizations that are boycotting AZ.  Rise up America and boycott the boycotters.  Cancel your travel plans to their states.  Stop buying their products, do not support their sports teams.  National solidarity for AZ on immigration.

Then, what happens in Arizona if California shuts off the gasoline from there? A good chunk of Arizona’s fuels come from California! Remember the pipeline failure in AZ in 2003 that shot up gas prices in AZ? That pipeline comes from California. There’s not enough other pipelines & tankers from other places to keep AZ fuel prices down if that happens.
