Arab States Create Israel ‘Contact Group’

A number of Arab foreign ministers have appointed Egypt and Jordan to meet with Israel over a peace proposal that would normalize relations between the Jewish state and the Arab world in exchange for a long list of concessions, some very unlikely to be met.

Though the two “contact” nations already have ties with Israel, other states would be willing to join in, should Israel take immediate steps.

BBC:

Arab foreign ministers have authorised a contact group to talk directly with Israel about their peace initiative.

The group consists of Jordan and Egypt, although officials say it is possible other states which have no diplomatic ties with Israel could join in future.

The Arab peace initiative offers Israel normalised relations in exchange for a series of key peace moves.

60+ years ago, after the sensible British hastily withdrew, only a fool would get needlessly embroiled in the Jewish/Muslim mayhem in Palestine. But US presidents proved to be those fools, and we,the masses, have been paying for it ever since at astronomical costs.

All diplomatic break-throughs begin with both sides talking, not with one side (America) refusing to talk.

Why would anyone want to talk to this Administration.

They’re gonna need some ground rules for these meetings.

I suggest:

1. No nukes, at least not in the conference rooms.
2. Only scimitars, and automatic weapons with less than 30-round magazines allowed.
3. No poison gas dispensers, or anthrax-filled envelopes (farting allowed, once seated)
4. All conversations, statements, arguments and discussions to be conducted in a common language. Mandarin is recommended, to minimize the length of the meetings.
5. The Jews agree, in advance, not to attempt to tempt and befuddle the Arabs and Muslims with strong drink and harlots.
6. The Arabs and Muslims agree not to try to confuse the Jews with logic and rationality, and fairness and justice.

All parties agree to let the conference be televised by a consortium of AlJazeera, Fox, and ABC, with an unedited, true broadcast provided directly to the Internet.

Should be an interesting event. I’ll sure tune in to Truthdig to watch it.

Israel’s position is getting weaker by the day.  They can’t use their nukes any easier than we can.  Nobody would be on their side but the U.S. and that doesn’t mean a damned thing anymore.  We’ve gone from mutually assured destruction with Russia to globally assured destruction and I’m pretty sure both sides are looking forward to it.

BBC: “...Correspondents say the offer to break Israel’s isolation is being seen as “very significant” by Arab governments....”

All they need to do now is to shut down that nuclear reactor at Dimona which has been used since the 1960’s to provide enriched uranium for the WMD’s they have been manufacturing in their Negev Desert atomic reasearch facility!!!
