Americans Admire Glenn Beck More Than the Dalai LamaPosted on Dec 27, 2010
Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton top the USA Today/Gallup Poll lists of the most admired men and women in 2010. Obama has lost some love since last year, but still has more admiration among Americans than the rest of the top 10 combined. Hillary Clinton has owned the top spot on her list 15 times since 1992, including the last nine years straight. She’s the New York Yankees of admiration. But Sarah Palin and Oprah Winfrey are not far behind her this year. Michelle Obama trails a distant fourth. Americans admire Nelson Mandela, Bill Gates, Pope Benedict XVI, the Rev. Billy Graham, Jimmy Carter and Glenn Beck about evenly at 2 percent. Only 1 percent of Americans reported that they admired the Dalai Lama above the rest. The women’s list also included Condoleezza Rice, Queen Elizabeth II, Angelina Jolie, Margaret Thatcher, Laura and Barbara Bush and Burmese resistance leader Aung San Suu Kyi. Jolie is the only entertainer on either of the top 10 lists, unless you count Ronald Reagan. In fact, both lists are dominated by political figures. As USA Today points out: “Not on either top-10 list: A Supreme Court justice, current senator or congressman, athlete or scientist.” —PZS

Mostly New World Order globalists/secret society members. Of the 21 men and women listed there, 3 have been strongly CFR tied yet not technically members (Obama, Hillary, ‘W’ Bush). Palin’s 08 runningmate McCain is a CFR member. 5 of them are actual members (B. Clinton, Carter, C. Rice, Michelle Obama has been a member of the Chicago branch of the CFR, and as of a year1/2 ago- U.N. dignitary Angelina Jolie became a CFR member!) Grahmam is a Freemason, and the pope and queen- well they’re part of that evil eye right on top of the pyramid. Gates hangs around fellow eugenicists like David Rockefeller (CFR / NWO Kingpin) etc. who want most of us dead. Funny how sheeple tend to love the minions of the evil beast of Revelation.

With George Bush and Sarah Palin occupying the #2 slots, does anybody really care what these people who were polled think? There’s obviously way too many morons in the sample. It’s perhaps more amazing they even know who any of these people are, much less who they have preferences for. Polling a troupe of chimpanzees about banana brand preferences would be more substantive than polling the American public/electorate about anything requiring cognitive processes outside the hindbrain. I attended the installation of the Dalai Lama into the faculty at Emory University a few years ago—listened to him lecture and attended a special Q&A forum with him. The Dalai Lama is on another level far above and apart from anything that included the names of Bush, Palin, Condoleeza Rice, and Glenn Beck. This is meaningless and useless. To dignify this piece of information about this so-called “poll” with too much more commentary begs the question. I agree most with one of the above comments—“A survey on the most effective hemorrhoid creams would serve mankind to a much greater degree.”

General,
Of COURSE I know that Condaleeza Rice is that weird oxymoron: A Black Republican. Is she a token? Hell No! She’s an oil exec, just like most of Bush and Cheney’s pals are, and, apparently, a damned good one (kind of like being a very good Demon from Hell). They named a tanker after her!
As racist as the GOP has become, they always have room for wealthy neo-cons, regardless of their color.

NEWS FLASH..Its been recently discovered thru carefull study by really smart people that the Earth actually is flat after all. Man did not land on the moon in ‘69. That was all done on the Gilligan’s Island set at Universal studios. The theory of relativity wasn’t penned by Albert Einstein after all. It was developed in Top Secret by none other than SpongeBob Square Pants.

Great comment, but you do know that condi is the ultimate token black to repuKKKes, yeah? Maybe aside from Clarence T, and ridiculous Michaal S., that is.
Amazing.
@Patrick Henry (“Maybe if the Dalai Lama were broadcast in an equal time slot 24/7 this farce of a poll would have some meaning.”)
After I stopped laughing I realized what an amazing feat this is by the Dalai Lama or the US public.
Lets face it, how many would even know who the Dalai Lama is, anymore? That number must be dwarfed by the amount that know Glenda BeKKKistan.
IDK folks, this poll kinda made my day.

A good examply of gratuitous headlines. Obama has more 5 times (22%) the popularity than number 2 or 3, Clinton and Bush.
Yet you chose your headline to be about Hatemonger beKKKistan, and number 10, the Dalai Lama.
Weird.
don’t you think we would have liked some positive headlines about Obama for once????
Like:
Obama FIVE times as popular as Clinton or Bush. Many would not be surprised about bush, but that he’s 5 times as popular as elder statesman Clinton, who since the 2008 primaries has had nothing but positive press, and a softnews press at that with his daughters wedding.
That is kinda surprising. The biggest problem Democrats and other regular folks have is the bad press of anything leftwing, anything Obama. The vast rightwing media machine has done an excellent job in winning over the Independents, and we will lose the 2012 election. Not to Palin, of course, even the crazies see that she’s too insane. But to a likeable candidate like Chris Christie, Huckabee, Romney or Pawlenty. These four will be either president or VP in 2012.
And the quality of my life will greatly improve if you don’t post pics of beKKK from foKKKs, thank you.

I am of the mind that the polls are accurate to there degree of perception. I believe most of those polled mistook “Admire” for envy. That admiration not based on experience of the intellect, but monetary gain through their personal exploitation of the systems, Media, hype and misinformation.
More people envy Glenn Beck over the Dalai Lama, But the true definition of Admire? Well I guess Beck is prettier and whiter than the Dalai…. Go figure.

USAtoday/gallup poll. That goes a long way to
Report thisexplain such ridiculousness. And couple that with
a weak educational system that promotes NO
thinking and the msm usual deceptions and
irresponsible reporting, it very well could be but
as with the usatoday/gallup poll, I tend to think it
a sham anyway. More likely an attempt to make
those illiterates think those really worst of the

as ‘forced directional thinking’.

morpheus: your site is super-patriotic, which makes me suspicious right away. Propaganda won’t get it. We need sober thinking and the engaging of all the best minds in the country. Just a quote from Paul Krugman doesn’t do it for me, though I admire his work. “About us” doesn’t reveal anything significant. Site needs improvement. Pull it down out of the patriotic clouds. That’s my take.

Part of the main business of media is to tell us all, all year, whom we “admire” and than at the end of the year count up who among those they chose to “feature” we “admire” the most. What a scam!
Oh well ... nothin’ better to do.
