Score one, and a big one at that, for the tea party. On Tuesday, Alaska’s incumbent Republican Lisa Murkowski conceded to underdog Joe Miller in the state’s race for the U.S. Senate in November’s midterm election. —KA

The only reason Lisa lost was because Palin used dirty politics out of revenge.

Lisa “Corporate Toady” Murkowski just wasn’t right-wing nutty enough to pass muster. How much you want to bet she’ll be back in a couple of years, out-crazying the crazies.

What the national media has not figured out and reported on is that very few registered voters turned out for this primary election. Alaska has been under the political control of a handful of voters for decades. In this primary just 9.6 percent of registered voters cast a ballot. A very low turn out; however, this is about normal for a primary or non national election.
