Ever at the ready with a grandiose metaphor, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad dismissed the latest efforts of protesters in his country clamoring for regime change, claiming Tuesday that they were “going nowhere” and out to “tarnish the Iranian nation’s brilliance.” —KA

BBC:

It is clear the Iranian nation has enemies because it is a nation that wants to shine, conquer peaks and change [its international] relations,” he said.

He added: “Of course, there is a lot of hostility against the government. But they knew that they would get nowhere.”

Mr Ahmadinejad said the organisers of the protests “just wanted to tarnish the Iranian nation’s brilliance”.

“It is a shining sun. They threw some dust towards the sun… but the dust will return to their eyes.”

Leefeller:

“People from both countries have governments who support and represent special interests and manipulate these special interest agendas very effectively against the peoples own best interests.”

Could be. Do you think any of the turmoil in the Middle East today will actually result in that formula changing?

You know Ann Coulter doesn’t get the respect of her fellow right wing male mental mutants only because she dresses like a girl.

In some ways, the Iranian people are in the same boat the American People are. People from both countries have governments who support and represent special interests and manipulate these special interest agendas very effectively against the peoples own best interests.

As for improvements over the Shah, Ahmedinejab was not hand picked by the USA so not deemed acceptable, sort of like unacceptable Castro! The USA projects a feeling of entitlement for the handpicking of its despots. Handpicking despots has worked great in the past.  Sadist Insane in Iraq and the Pa-Shaw in Iran two success stories made in the USA!

“Ann Coulter-geist, saying that Liberals should be executed as traitors.”

-

The President of the United States openly pushes his constituency to treat fellow Americans as the enemy yet we’re whining about a television personality with an opinion?

Somehow Ann Coulter doesn’t feel like a priority.

Rico,

I’m no fan of Ahmedinijad—civil leadership in Iran had been becoming more and more sane and civil, even offering aid and support in our battle in Afghanistan in 2001.  Then Bush made his idiot “Axis of Evil” speech, spitting in Iran’s hand just as it was extended to us…and the “holy leaders” began endorsing more radical and crazy civilian leaders—like this guy.

As for being lazy—what can I say? Life’s been very busy lately! (LOL!)

Even most of the progressive news sites go along with the US mainstream media lies and propaganda concerning Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. You really have to do deeper research to learn other facts not presented by western media. Their lies are very convincing and Americans are so used to believing them that they can’t see past the mind-set that portrays Mahmoud Ahmadinejad as a demonic dictator figure. Here are some links if anyone is interested to explore past the media-mind control message concerning Iran’s leader, who has stood strong against Imperial threats and sanctions for quite some time. Because he has refused to be a US puppet dictator he stands unforgiven by the US and they are determined to keep trying to destroy him at any cost.

This article explains nothing about the US (and Israel)inciting the protests in Iran because they are desperate to take down the power Iran has become. US is so afraid to lose what power it has in the ME and they see Mahmoud Ahmadinejad as the enemy preventing them from what they want. That’s why they sent Biden over there to incite protests in Iran, to take advantage of the people’s revolution in Egypt to try again to separate the people of Iran into warring factions. But it doesn’t work because the so called protestors are incited to riot by planted CIA thugs. This is nothing more than a propaganda article against the Iranian president. The so-called color revolutions are always US,NATO,Israel plots for regime change.
