Afghanistan’s Election Complaints Commission has disqualified 19 candidates—including seven current members of parliament—for alleged fraud in September’s voting. So far the commission has tossed out 1.3 million votes, nearly a quarter of the total cast. —JCL

Sounds like these folks really want “democracy” and appreciate having it laid on them by an ugly combination of violence and graft sent to them from a wealthy, ignorant. aggressive uncle on the other side of the world who has nothing better to do.
