A Message From Troy DavisPosted on Sep 20, 2011
A day before his scheduled execution, Amnesty International USA released a message from Troy Davis, who said, “I will not stop fighting until I’ve taken my last breath.” Davis will be killed Wednesday night unless there is a last-minute intervention. Seven of the nine witnesses who testified against Davis at trial for allegedly shooting a police officer have recanted. Amnesty International USA released the following statement from Davis on its Facebook page:
The Georgia State Board of Pardons and Paroles decided Tuesday that Davis did not deserve clemency, despite an international campaign to pressure the board and raise awareness about the doubt of his guilt. —PZS Advertisement New and Improved CommentsIf you have trouble leaving a comment, review this help page. Six hours from now the State of Georgia plans to commit murder. We know where it will happen. We know who is going to do it. We know how they plan to do it. And we know the victim’s name. Why can’t we stop them? This is a horror show.

I came across this prayer. I am sure that Jesus, Buddha and Mohammed would agree.
Prayer of Saint Francis
Lord, make me an instrument of your peace
Where there is hatred let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is discord, union;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
where there is sadness, joy;
for your mercy and truth sake.
O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek
Report thisto be consoled as to console,
to be understood as to understand,
to be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive.
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
