22 Million Bush-Era E-Mails Found

Barack Obama’s administration is searching for more e-mail that might have been lost during the time that George W. Bush, shown in 2006, spent in the White House.

How exactly does an administration lose millions of e-mails? However it happened, 22 million Bush-era White House e-mails have been recovered, and more may be found. The content, however, probably won’t be made public for years.  —KA

AP via Google News:

The two private groups — Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington and the National Security Archive — said Monday they were settling the lawsuits they filed against the Executive Office of the President in 2007.

It will be years before the public sees any of the recovered e-mails because they will now go through the National Archives’ process for releasing presidential and agency records. Presidential records of the Bush administration won’t be available until 2014 at the earliest.

Former Bush White House spokesman Scott Stanzel said the 22 million e-mails already had been recovered while Bush was still in office and that misleading statements about the former administration’s work demonstrate “a continued anti-Bush agenda, nearly a year after a new president was sworn in.”

Overlooked point #1 :  22 million emails?  What the hell was the administration doing besides running an email circle jerk?  How many monkeys typing for how long does it take to create 22 million emails?

Overlooked point #2 :  Who created the five year gag rule and why is it still in effect?

Overlooked point #3 :  Why is the cost of dealing with the incompetence of the Bush administration’s handling of Federal documents not being paid by the fund that is building the monument to Bush, er, the Bush “Lie-berry” in Texas?

Even though this is good news it will never be disclosed to the public because of the Bush cronies in high politics, in the media, and special interest groups. And if ever disclosed (fat chance in hell) these e-mails would probably be too much to handle by the General public.

22 million? I bet we only need to get at about 22 dozen of them to put dozens in jail for war crimes, high treason, corporate collusion, and various almost inconceivably massive and grotesque frauds.

This number, “22 million,” is another smokescreen.  For prosecutions of Rove and others we only need certain email accounts associated with certain offices.  The bastards are still trying to snow us.  And watch Obama help them.

This news reinforces my view that considering “History” a “social science” is a crock. It cannot be a science because historians who research contemporary history can know only a tiny fraction of what was going on secretly. By the time some of the secrets are either leaked or made available to the public the strutting historian is long dead.

Purchasing books from writers on contemporary history is almost certainly a waste of money.

Watergate was so giving, but since then the guys with the power have figured out how to simply void the mass of so-called democracy.  During the Watergate downfall, every day brought the hope of the smoking gun and every day millions experienced an epiphany.  These days, they are more worried about Tiger’s brand.

This does make me chuckle because so many actually thought you could “erase” email, a joke amongst the technorati.  I bet some IT geeks are having a huge chuckle for convincing Bush’s guards it was gone forever.  I wonder if Obama will attempt to cover this up?  That would put him on the list with his sold out justice.

What counts is not when these emails are made public, but when they are reviewed by the Department of Justice and presented to a federal grand jury.

Yay! Now we can remember how bad George W. Bush was. Just in time to forget that President Obama is sending 30,000 troops to Afghanistan.

What is more dumb founding.  The fact that 22 Million e-mails were lost or how long it took to find them and how long it will now take to make them public.  Sound like conspiracy?
