U.K. Probes Alleged Abuse of Iraqis by SoldiersPosted on Nov 14, 2009
The British Defense Ministry is investigating 33 cases of alleged abuse of Iraqi civilians by its soldiers. Many of the allegations, which include sexual attacks and torture, reflect U.S. soldiers’ acts depicted in photos from the infamous Abu Ghraib prison. —JCL

No the torture hasn’t stopped. It was merely pushed behind the ‘national security’ curtain of secrecy. The Soviet Union had its’ ‘Iron Curtain’. We have a ‘torture curtain’.

Iam not at all surprised , the US had more guts to come forward with their torture , the british are known for hiding their crimes (many in Africa that came to light much later , the crimes of Bomber harris(iraq) etc.. )

I would expect nothing less from America’s Junior Partner in the War OF Terror. The British know how to torture quite well from their extensive middle-eastern experiments.
