Shingo, I think Israel DOES have some relation historically to the Jewish religion and thus to Jewish values.  18th century Enslightment scholars like Gibbon and Voltaire were highly struck by Hebraic fanaticism, particularly in relation to the masacres, wars and other relations to other tribes and groupings.

I don’t know that the Jewish religion is more fanatical- most Jews aren’t very religious- but the religion does see thier tribal God’s will manifested in society and history.  Rather than in some heaveanly or otherworldly Homeland.  The presuppositins of this religion may be passed down unconscously, and are part of the ideology that instills getting power in THIS world.

It may be these religious presuppostions that fuse with political aims that make them so overbearing and irrational.  Leading often to historical self- destruction.

  Or maybe not.  Just a theory.

Isn’t it ironic that whole Jews did suport the civil rights movement in this country, Israel has become an apartheid state that denies civil rights to non Jews?

The only post that includes the word “Jew” in yours.  This topic has nothing to do with Jews and you know it.  Yours is a desprate, predictnd lame ayttempt to conflate criticims of Israeli policies and crimes with Judaism. 

Israel was invaded ONCE in 1948. Since then, with the exception of the 1973 war (which was a hangopver of the 1967 war) Israel has srted every war it has been involved in and invaded and attacked every one of it;s neighbors.

Prior to the 1948 invasion, Israeli terrorrist groups massacred Palestinian civiailans and atatcked British forces.  In fact, those terror groups had NAzi connections and were financed by fascists in Europe.

When a nation takes a warlike stance at every opportunity, when a nation embarks upon genocidal policies and rattles its sabers at all and sundry, it might expect its neighbors to fear the worst.

so Israel is on its way to attacking Lebanon and Iran?

(is that why we have all those troops in Afganistan, waiting to “lend a hand”?)

Israel is no doubt preparing to attack Lebanon to weaken any deterrent to an attack on Iran, expect a conflict with Gaza soon as well. Obama will march us into World War III with a big smile, his Sesame Street speeches and that Nobel Prize hanging from his neck.

An Israeli-US attaak on Iran is a real possiblity.  Part of Iranian deterence is an attack on Isarel by Hezbollah, hence the weapons.  Iran should also supply weapons to Hamas, especially anti-tank and anti-air weapons.  since the US-Israel have opted for a settlement policy in Paalestine, Paleistinians are also shedding their puppet US-funded leaders to attack Israeli colonialism.

Another premptive attack?  I’m sure Israel will have its Lebanese Phlangist poodles instigate a false flag attack on it by firing a couple rudimentary rockets across the border to initiate an invasion.

How soon Israel has forgotten its last lesson.
