‘Get Motivated’ With George W. BushPosted on Oct 22, 2009
The 43rd president is reinventing himself as a motivational speaker. He earned his credentials, the New York Daily News jokes, by “inspiring millions to vote Democratic.” Wifey Laura also signed on for a few git-r-done seminars. The power couple will doubtlessly be showered in cash for their trouble. —PZS

That isn’t the way it works, inherit. The rich right wing buy up right wing speakers, books, etc and give them out to their lackeys. I remember going into a Barnss and Nobles once and seeing a huge pile of neozionist Horritiz’s book THE HUNDRED MOST DANGEROUS PROFESSORS, piled on the floor ready to shelve.
He is funded by Mellon Scarne as I recall. since without financial support he would probably sell a total of sixteen copies around the country, he can sell a lot and use the money to bribe students to turn in their teachers for bing anti-semitc, which happened to a Santa Barabra professor recently.
Clinton is cleaning up in the same way, for the same reason. tetting over a hundred million at last count. An Ispiring speaker like Obama should really be able to motiviate the flunkies. But the plutocarcy could care less, thay are jsut making their standard payoff.

I agree with ITW ... the way things work, Bush will never end up in prison where he belongs. No matter what political stripe his listeners are they won’t be paying attention to what he says. He’s the same failure now that he’s been his entire life. As long as he doesn’t hold a position of power he is irrelevant.

I’m sorta glad to see Dumbya out on the lecture trail, makin’ money. Here’s why:
Report this1) For once he’s actually EARNING the money he’s getting. If fools want to pay $$$ to hear him, and he then talks, well he’s doing EXACTLY what they are paying him for. That’s money earned.
2) He’s not President anymore.
3) He’ll never be President again.
4) While he should be in jail, and I regret that he’s not, 2) and 3) are much more important.

Hypocrisy of the left. Making fun of Shrub after years upon years of Clinton
profiteering and Carter’s self promotion as profit of peace.
Who’s “of the left”...? Get a clue: we’ve had nothing but a puppet POTUS since they wacked JFK and all their lectures “sell out.” The theme isn’t as much “sell out” as it is “bought
Report thisand sold.”

This just in:
Report thisThe George W. Bush Motivational Seminar is holding a week-end of sessions open to a limited number of Republicans the end of December to analyze where the government went wrong under the previous administration and where our policies were correct and are succeeding beyond our wildest hopes.
Purpose of the retreat is to prove that it really isn’t a retreat, and that the party can be motivated beyond sheer self-interest to grasp the reins of government again in 2012 and, taking God at his word, move onward toward Zion—or a reasonable facsimile of peace on earth, good will toward men. Women can take care of themselves, since they seem to want to be independent anyway.
Main issues targeted will be “War and how to make it more profitable,” “The Dangers of Regulation” and “Corporate Irresponsibility and America the Beautiful—Learning to Co-exist”.
Registration is limited to those who feel they want to learn more about less and have the money to pay for it. Registsration closes on Thanksgiving Day, before the Annual Turkey Shoot.

Yes I’m motivated… To spell correctly, to say my words correctly, to seek help when I need it instead of B.S.ing my way through life, to save instead of spend, to stay out of debt, and vote against conservative candidates whenever I can.

Jack,
Report thisSome crowds still idolize Shrub. Certainly the rich owe a lot to him and the neocons. Many are impressed by notoriety rather than accomplishment. It is the “in” thing to gather for a former president no matter how inane or mediocre he was/is. Public figures draw attention in today’s world. The corporate media and money make it happen.

“The former First Lady will headline three “Get Motivated” events in October and November - meaning the retired twosome could be looking at an estimated $500,000 payday by Christmas.”
I remember Japan paid Reagan over a million and that was years ago, certainly worth several million in today’s money. 500 grand seems paltry for two. Maybe Laura gets 400 grand and Shrub gets 100.
The only inspiration I got from Bush was his departure 8 years too late.

The people who will go all know he’s a nitwit. This stuff is for people who like to show they can afford to go and to hang out with their fellow we-don’t-want-to-pay-taxes wealthy folks.

Motivational speaking is perfect for W. He makes money by giving people strategies for denying what is really going on, for pretending things are great when they’re not, for blaming themselves when they suffer or fail due to systemic faults beyond their control, and encourages them to celebrate the lucky winners in the ongoing casino sweepstakes of America as the truly deserving elite of a democratic meritocracy. He teaches denial of reality. That’s what he has done for his entire life. He should be good at it by now.

Suggested subjects:
How to fly over a flooded city and do nothing.
Starting two wars quickly and easily.
Murdering the English Language without even trying.
Reading to Children.
etc. etc. At $100,000, and it’s acceptable behavior, but if college kids in Pittsburgh protest the G20, send in the cops. What a country!

This is the current way that the plutocracy pays off its presidents for their rakeoffs. They gave Reagan a ranch, etc but Clinton got over a hundred milliion Inspiring corporate piggies with talks. Obama should really clean up, even if he isn’t elected to a second term.

The cult of greed and stupidity will go to worship at the feet of the master. It’s the money, “In God We Trust”, their talking about the money, that’s why it’s printed on it, it’s the cult of greed. So is it going to be get motivated or the truth as they see it, get greedy, get greedier, God is Greed.

I know it’s his home state and all ... but are there really enough people to fill a room in Ft Worth or San Antonio who find this schmuck motivating?
You’d think the collective embarrassment for having produced such a loser would have Texans politely pretending they don’t even see him.
Honestly, handed a government surplus, with his party dominating every branch of government and having the world behind him on 12 Sept 2001, he blew every advantage he’d been given. Habit of a lifetime I guess.
... and that motivates people? By what? Fear of equivalent failure?

Hi, my names George Bush and I was president of the
Report thisUnited States for 8 years. I’m living proof you don’t
need intelligence, articulation, a history of
business success, or any of that education stuff to
get to a high position. Remember, success isn’t
everything. It does help to have a rich father who
will indulge you and pay his friends to support you.
So, don’t let minor problems stop you in your climb
to new heights, even if that exceeds your abilities.
My DVD is only $199.95 and is 15 minutes of all of
the wisdom I’ve learned in my lifetime. Well, 3
minutes; the rest is funny family stories and
everyone is autographed. Thank you so much.
