A study in The Lancet medical journal has shown that more than half of those now born in wealthy nations—including the U.S.—will live to be at least 100 years old. The leader of the study says: “Increasing numbers of people at old and very old ages will pose major challenges for health-care systems.” U.S. legislators, are you listening?
