The missile tests come amid heightened tension with the big international powers over Iran’s nuclear ambitions

Iran’s “Sacred Defense Week” is a time when Iranians can appreciate the natural awesomeness of military weaponry and missile tests, including the just-completed test-firing of long-range missiles able to hit both Israel and U.S. bases in the Persian Gulf.  —JCL

The BBC:

Iran has successfully test-fired some of the longest range missiles in its arsenal, state media say.

The Revolutionary Guards tested the Shahab-3 and Sajjil rockets, which are believed to have ranges of up to 2,000km (1,240 miles), reports said.

The missiles’ range could potentially permit them to reach Israel and US bases in the Gulf, analysts say.

The tests come amid heightened tension with the big international powers over Iran’s nuclear ambitions.

Irani defense actually IS defense. In the US and Israel it is a eupemism for aggression, purveyed by the Con and Prog media.

I suppose the BBC is going to tell us next, that Iran has “pigs that fly”. It is a
pitiful state we live in, when our media is so willing to try these old myths of
Iran’s missile capabilities. They are not powerful enough to reach, inaccurate,
and non nuclear. Furthermore, it is no different than the myth of Iraq having
weapons of mass destruction. But if you look at the articles written recently by
the BBC, you would wonder if these guys even get out of the office to
investigate these well know facts that the common people are well aware of.

This is another attempt to drive us to war, to lie to our troops, and kill innocent
people. But I guess lies are the only way to get one to kill a total stranger
without question.

No wonder, out of a deck of cards with the faces of people who have caused
unnecessary wars in this world; American faces can be seen on almost every
one of the 52 playing cards. If we are to finger point, and be afraid of bad
people on this planet; then we need to look for these criminals at home, and
not abroad.
