President Manuel Zelaya sits with cheering supporters inside the Brazilian Embassy in Tegucigalpa, Honduras.

With no real strategy or international support, Honduras’ takeover government is putting a 10-day deadline on Brazil to decide what to do with ousted Honduran President Manuel Zelaya, who is shacked up in the Brazilian Embassy in Tegucigalpa after returning to his country last week.

The Guardian:

Honduras set a 10-day deadline Sunday for Brazil to decide what to do with ousted President Manuel Zelaya, who has holed up at its embassy since sneaking back into the Central American country last week.

The government of President Roberto Micheletti, who has been in charge since a June 28 coup that deposed Zelaya, said it will take “additional measures” if Brazil does not define Zelaya’s status.

The statement, relayed by a presidential spokesman, urged Brazil “to immediately take measures to ensure that Mr. Zelaya stops using the protection offered by the diplomatic mission to instigate violence in Honduras.”

Obama and Hillary Clinton are (take your pick): absolute failures, total liars, puppets of our psyop’d military government.  They need to support Zelaya NOW.

You’re both insane. The US Goverment is against the current Honduran Goverment. In fact, US current goverment appear more fond of Chavez than one would want to accept. Downhill from here, Good Luck to honduras with that clown of Zelaya.

Folktruther, it could also be that the coup regime is being just plain insane. If Obama were to clash with Lula, the leftist the US loves, it would only help continue to completely obliterate any mending of relations with Latin America. True, Obama is installing seven military bases in Colombia, but I also doubt he would side with Micheletti against the regional economic power. Remember that the evidence points to the White House wanting Zelaya out, but the military coup being carried out by surprise. Most likely Hillary Clinton will scramble to find some sort of quick fix solution within the next ten days.

The Honduran resistance should use these ten days to ignite one final uprising and overthrow the fascist clowns.

A serious threat.  The coup govenment is backed by the US and would not make this threat without Obama approval.  This may put the US on a collision course with Brazil.
