Good News and Bad News About Swine FluPosted on Sep 1, 2009
Researchers at the University of Maryland say not to worry about the dreaded swine flu mutating into an even more dreaded super bug. That’s the good news. The bad news: Swine flu doesn’t mutate, based on their tests, because it doesn’t have to. It’s stronger than other flu strains and spreads like wildfire. At least among ferrets. Who should be concerned? Young people. Unlike traditional flu, which is much more dangerous among the elderly, the porcine variety is most lethal for people in their 20s, 30s and 40s, reports The Associated Press. —PS

It only makes sense that the elderly, children and those with fragile health will be more susceptible to this virus as well as other airborne viruses. It is advisable for them to guard their health well with excellent nutrition (most people do not eat like they understand how important this is to their health), practice excellent hygiene and stay away from symptoms crowds of people whenever possible. They should also stay home if sick. Since I have a friend who, at this moment, is critically ill with H1N1 because he ignored pneumonia-like symptoms, I would advise readers not to ignore such symptoms but seek medical advise immediately.

It is pretty clear that the elderly, children and those with compromised immune systems should be especially careful about their health and staying away from potentially infected people. It might be wise for them to get the vaccine. However, for more healthy individuals, maximize the potential of a super-healthy diet and adequate supplemental nutritional intake. This will allow for optimum health and longevity. I have a friend who is actually close to death from the swine flu, as we speak. I think he ignored the pneumonia-like symptoms. Take heed! Do not ignore more serious upper respiratory symptoms; get to the doctor!!

I’m grateful this was kinda like SARS, avian flu, and whatever other illnesses punidts predict will wreck havoc. For the most part, people knew the signs and symptoms and stayed home til they recuperated. Let’s hope common sense also prevails for similar outbreaks.

This was eye-opening. I wonder why younger people are more susceptible. I’ve worked and ran errands with bronchitis Sounds like swine flu was a lot more detrimental to the body.

Well I always follow your website and read almost all articles but maybe I have missed this one. It was quite interesting to read good news about swine flu but only good. I totally agree that swine flu has become the world’s dominant strain of influenza. More and more people are dying from this dangerous disease. I have heard that some swine flu symptoms are very similar like stomach virus symptoms. Is it true? Well I will definitely try to find more information about this subject, because I think that it is very important. Thanks a lot one more time for the useful article and I will be waiting for more good news from you in the future.

Very funny , grousefeather. I can only hope you’re on to something. because from where I’m standing the biggest threat to the continuation of the human race is politicians and the intelligence services, both paid for out of our tax money. At this stage we’re paying them to oppress us, subject us to fake terror attacks, start wars we never agreed to and to infect us with flu strains they invented in a lab for purposes known only to themselves. Talkin’ about a revolution? Damn straight.

What is really going on here?? Is it a money thing for Big Pharma? Fear mongering? The Flu kills 60,000 people in this country EVERY YEAR and this Flu killed what 12 people? I will never let our Government stick something in my arm, never. I smell a rat and it stinks like Fascism…......

Ferrets are members of the weasel family so does that mean politicians will be particularly susceptible to Swine flu?
