Hey, hasn’t something—or someone—been missing from this latest round of debate and discussion about America’s use of troublesome interrogation tactics in recent years? Who could it be? Oh, of course. Enter Dick Cheney, stage right.  —KA

“Political Intelligence” in The Boston Globe:

In a statement late Monday, Cheney said the documents prove his claim that the “enhanced” interrogation techniques “provided the bulk of intelligence we gained about al Qaeda.”

“This intelligence saved lives and prevented terrorist attacks,” Cheney said. “These detainees also, according to the documents, played a role in nearly every capture of al Qaeda members and associates since 2002.”

It doesn’t take a MIT graduate to figure out that Cheney’ rule at the WH was based on manipulation and schemes. First, he succeeded to empower the executive branch beyond constitutional parameters and secondly, he used his executive muscle to pursuade key individuals in the intelligence community to foment the WMD scare in the name of national security. Where was he when the FBI brought forth the intelligence of a possible terrorist strike by air well in advance of 9/11. Cheney did absolutely nothing to put the country on alert. A first class scam artist revered by the ideologues.

The Dickster openly extols the virtue of enhanced interrogation techniques. It would seem that it’s clear
that is the way to get the truth out of him.

Jim Yell,

I have the same sentiment.  Why are these monsters still at large?  We do know definitely sure, beyond a doubt, that we never want to let the CONSERVATIVE REPUBLICAN EXTREMISTS ever back into control of government in the United States.  The CONSERVATIVE REPUBLICRATS in the Democratic Party is bad enough, we never want to lose our minds and think it may be better for the CONSERVATIVE REPUBLICAN EXTREME to be in complete control, EVER AGAIN.

I can’t believe this perpetrator of 9/11, torturer, and exposer of American agents is still above ground and free.

One of lifes big disappointments in American government.

Let us consider that the meeting between (the secret meeting) the energy industry and Dick Cheney has never been revealed to the public. Yet when you consider the outrageous manipulation of the market and out-right criminal actions of these people thru the 8 years of the Bush/Cheney Administration, why aren’t we entitled to know what they talked about and what they agreed to. Shouldn’t we ask if they had decided to make a grab for Iraqi oil before 9/11. Consider what has happened to us and consider it wasn’t an accident.

Of course this is just one of the multitude of crimes by Bush/Cheney and the truely malignant men around them. I can see no reason why they have not all been investigated and imprisoned if they lie or destroy evidence, but I also believe it is clear they broke their oath of office and the responsibilities expected from elected officials of a Contitutional Representitive Government, moderated by a Bill of Rights. Why are these monster still at large?

The only way the Dick is ever going to face justice is after he dies and has to face God, who will ask him ‘Where were you on 9/11, Dick?’ Since it’s God he’ll have to tell the truth and that’s when his fate will be sealed. This monster is guilty of much bigger crimes than mere torture.

Nothing screams war crimes tribunals like Darth Cheney. Bag ‘em, tag ‘em, and
ship the bastard off in shackles and chains. To the ICC, Diego Garcia Island, or
some damn place where this vile treasonous poltroon can FINALLY face justice.
