Hey, hasn’t something—or someone—been missing from this latest round of debate and discussion about America’s use of troublesome interrogation tactics in recent years? Who could it be? Oh, of course. Enter Dick Cheney, stage right.  —KA

“Political Intelligence” in The Boston Globe:

In a statement late Monday, Cheney said the documents prove his claim that the “enhanced” interrogation techniques “provided the bulk of intelligence we gained about al Qaeda.”

“This intelligence saved lives and prevented terrorist attacks,” Cheney said. “These detainees also, according to the documents, played a role in nearly every capture of al Qaeda members and associates since 2002.”

It doesn’t take a MIT graduate to figure out that Cheney’ rule at the WH was based on manipulation and schemes. First, he succeeded to empower the executive branch beyond constitutional parameters and secondly, he used his executive muscle to pursuade key individuals in the intelligence community to foment the WMD scare in the name of national security. Where was he when the FBI brought forth the intelligence of a possible terrorist strike by air well in advance of 9/11. Cheney did absolutely nothing to put the country on alert. A first class scam artist revered by the ideologues.

The Dickster openly extols the virtue of enhanced interrogation techniques. It would seem that it’s clear
that is the way to get the truth out of him.

Sure it’s possible. But if so, it does not explain why he channels the Anti-Christ _and_ imitates Hunter Thompson’s description of Nixon. -

“At the stroke of midnight in Washington, a drooling red-eyed beast with the legs of a man and head of a giant hyena crawls out of its bedroom window in the South Wing of the White House and leaps 50 feet down to the lawn ... pauses briefly to strangle the chow watchdog, then races off into the darkness…toward the Watergate, snarling with lust, loping through the alleys behind Pennsylvania Avenue and trying desperately to remember which one of those 400 iron balconies is the one outside Martha Mitchell’s apartment.”

“Ah…nightmares, nightmares. But I was only kidding. The (VICE) President of the United States would never act that weird. At least not during football season.” - see link below.

Plus, it’s better that no one responsible for the deaths of millions get a pass. Not Nixon. And certainly not ‘Vice’.

THE ‘DORIAN’ OPTION
Don’t think we want to see the picture in Biggus Dickus’s attic.

‘VICE’
We want ‘it’ to stay in its crypt, with the stake through the heart and the silver bullet holes. All else is secondary.

JFK IN DALLAS - THE REMAKE

HOW TO DESTROY THE EMPIRE, IN ONLY EIGHT YEARS, WITHOUT REALLY TRYING

@ Rodger Lemonde, August 25 at 3:33 pm #
> one word. DEMENTIA. It explains a lot, but doesn’t incline one to forgiveness.

That is the charitable explanation. It ignores all of US history, particularly it ignores the reality of the rabid rightwing.

It would be why you don’t want a five time heart ‘pumphead’ in the driving seat of government. Not only were his actions a) evil, b) unnecessary, c) counter-productive to any sane goal. It was also incredibly stupid.

“Thanks for destroying the Empire in eight years. Heck of a job, Biggus Dickus”.

It also destroys your side’s reputation for decades. Those talking about ‘putting it behind us’ have _no_ idea of how the rest of the world sees US. Hint - not good - think Mordor.

‘PUMPHEAD CHENEY’ -
http://heartdisease.about.com/cs/bypasssurgery/a/pumphead.htm

“42% of bypass patients have a 20% loss of cognition. It is cumulative.”

Cheney medical history -
“Cheney has had five heart attacks / bypasses, so it was government by moron, cretin,
imbecile or idiot. In Cheney’s case it seems to have brought to the fore his reptile brain. There was certainly nothing human about it. All psychopaths are so—but most hide it—except ‘Our Dick’. ymmv. - http://www.doctorzebra.com/prez/a_cheney.htm

“moron was applied to people with an IQ of 51-70, imbecile to those with an IQ of 26-50 and idiot to people with an IQ of 0-25.”

Jim Yell,

I have the same sentiment.  Why are these monsters still at large?  We do know definitely sure, beyond a doubt, that we never want to let the CONSERVATIVE REPUBLICAN EXTREMISTS ever back into control of government in the United States.  The CONSERVATIVE REPUBLICRATS in the Democratic Party is bad enough, we never want to lose our minds and think it may be better for the CONSERVATIVE REPUBLICAN EXTREME to be in complete control, EVER AGAIN.

Let us consider that the meeting between (the secret meeting) the energy industry and Dick Cheney has never been revealed to the public. Yet when you consider the outrageous manipulation of the market and out-right criminal actions of these people thru the 8 years of the Bush/Cheney Administration, why aren’t we entitled to know what they talked about and what they agreed to. Shouldn’t we ask if they had decided to make a grab for Iraqi oil before 9/11. Consider what has happened to us and consider it wasn’t an accident.

Of course this is just one of the multitude of crimes by Bush/Cheney and the truely malignant men around them. I can see no reason why they have not all been investigated and imprisoned if they lie or destroy evidence, but I also believe it is clear they broke their oath of office and the responsibilities expected from elected officials of a Contitutional Representitive Government, moderated by a Bill of Rights. Why are these monster still at large?

I am embattled by racists, both they and I believe that Cheney used his wheelchair Dr. Strangelove stunt during Obama’s inauguration to avoid shaking Obama’s hand.  I am not in a position to check, to my memory Cheney did not shake the hand of the new American president.  The racists also do not remember a handshake, I asked.  Cheney is their favorite politician.  I am sure he is not only a criminal but a “facade”ist as well.  He believes the public deserves a facade, we can’t handle the truth.

The torture topic is just one of many.  The state-of-the-art interrogation is high tech not a waterboard.  It involves medical monitoring equipment and a computer.  The interrogator can tell if you are using your first language or not, if you are lying, if you are using visual memory…  The psychology of interrogation is not in it’s infancy, it’s complicated and a bit of an art.  Torture gets results of fiction.  When McCain was in the Hanoi Hilton, he reports he gave false descriptions of luxurious captains quarters aboard his ship.  That is what he thought they wanted to hear.

Cheney got fiction and then heroically stopped the fictitious terror plots from going forward.  The Convention Against Torture has been broken in the opinion of the Red Cross.  Breaking treaties is an American diplomatic sport, but by treaty they agreed to prosecute those who commit torture.  Obama rather than forging a new clean path is avoiding looking back.  American exceptionalism is at the root of the high global opinion of America today.

The only way the Dick is ever going to face justice is after he dies and has to face God, who will ask him ‘Where were you on 9/11, Dick?’ Since it’s God he’ll have to tell the truth and that’s when his fate will be sealed. This monster is guilty of much bigger crimes than mere torture.
