World Leaders Condemn Burma VerdictPosted on Aug 11, 2009
Burma’s military junta has kept Aung San Suu Kyi under house arrest for the majority of the last 20 years and it looks as if she isn’t going anywhere. The sentence of the opposition leader was extended for the crime of being home—under house arrest—when an uninvited American came calling. Leaders from the U.N., the U.S., Europe and Southeast Asia have all condemned the verdict. The man whose visit was used as a pretext to continue holding her is facing his own problems.

“US President Barack Obama called for her “immediate unconditional release”, describing the extension of house arrest as unjust.”-BBC
And what do North Korea, Israel, Zimbabwe and Burma have in Common?
They are the only states in the world that deny international media and humanitarian aid workers access.
I wonder WHY is Obama and the Media so silent about Mordechai Vanunu’s 6th year of house arrest in the ‘democracy’ of Israel?
