In Chechnya, a renowned human rights activist and outspoken critic of the abuses committed during the Chechen wars was kidnapped and killed Wednesday. Natalya Estemirova’s death has sparked international outrage and marks the second such slaying of a Russian rights activist this year.

Foosh, Diamand. The US supported the Chechens against the Russians with money and guns to pevent the Russians from reaching the oil rich Caspian sea. The US intelligenece and other agencies are now no doubt supporting ‘Human Rights’ activists and terrorists as they did in the ‘color’ revolutions and are doing now in Iran.
Nevertheless, the murder is an outrage if true. But truthdig is a willing agent of US impoeralism and can’t be trusted to tell the truth about these kinds of kinds of things.
