Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair on Capitol Hill in May, testifying at a Senate Foreign Relations Committee hearing on Middle East peace.

According to ex-British prime minister turned Middle East envoy Tony Blair, a Mideast peace deal is possible within the year.” Following President Obama’s speech in Cairo and Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu’s response in which he finally agreed to the creation of a Palestinian state (under very tight conditions), Blair is confident that with continued discussions and proper mediation Israelis and Palestinians can come to an agreement.

AFP:

A Middle East peace deal is possible “within the year,” but only if all sides agree to peaceful negotiations, international envoy Tony Blair says in comments to be aired Friday.

The former British premier said there was a “great sense of hope and expectation” in the region after US President Barack Obama’s recent speech on relations between the West and the Islamic world.

“If President Obama gets the right partner, on the Israeli side but also on the Palestinian side, his determination to do this I have no doubt about at all,” he told interviewer David Frost.

When there aren’t trillions to made selling weapons to both sides then there will be peace. War is business, and the U.S and Britain can’t afford to lose any. Any public statements from this particular lapdog of bushco is just window dressing. Every politician who has taken this on has made the same kind of remarks, yet here we are…no closer to peace than we were 30 years ago. It is an absurd tragicomedy.

Blair is a worthless left over Bush crumb.
They may have walked away with hefty investment income from their war, but they certainly didn’t walk away with any respect left.
Why should we give him the time of day let alone space in a news column?

Headline was misleading. Whole article was basically “maybe, maybe not” but never actually said it. I hate reading stuff then realizing it wasn’t worth it.

WAR CRIMINAL
The only thing that matters is when the perp will arrive The Hague and get his trial.

Nothing Blair says about anything is of the slightest importance. If he told you the time or the date and was right, you’d still be a fool to believe him.

The eternal problem that that I have with those assholes, such as Blair, that they keep talking from their stinky rectums rather than from their brainless heads.

Another eternal problem we average citizens have is that once one those assholes reaches a position of power, the stinky shit they emit keeps pursuing us to our graves or theirs. The equally stingy media will insist on inundating us with the stinky odor of their hot air!

Moreover, another eternal problem is that those assholes have always been and will always be part of the problem and never the solution.

Another eternal problem I have with those assholes is that they keep hypocritically talking about peace when they are in reality the ultimate warmongers!

The average citizens should be given a respite from having to put up with all their shit. So the solution is that they should be hanged up in a public square and not given further opportunity to disturb our peace.

My personal message to this asshole and his elk: Get lost son of a bitch! A peace that comes from your efforts or mediation is the ultimate false peace, leading sooner or later to more tragic wars and terrorism. He who lacks peace and tranquility in his soul and hear, is unlikely to be able to deliver it to others! You were the face of war and you will live and die with that ugly, evil face!

Well, I always thought Tony was smoking something, now I know for sure.
Unless he means that nasty Netanyahu is going to disappear, then I doubt there will be peace.

Netanyahu did not really agree to a two-state solution, despite what he claims.  What he actually agreed to was a bantustan solution.

This kind of power bullshit-powerbull- is standard in the mainstream Progressive media.  Israel is currently increasing the number of settlers in Palestine.  There are now a half million, moved there while the powerbull of The Peace Process was used to delude the American and Western populations.  They have plans for another 2 hundred thousand, and began building new homes while Netanyahu was ‘negoitiating’ with Obaama about Peace.
